I've defended Steve probably more than anybody on this board, but he needs some serious time on the pine. Two important road games, and he comes up with SQUAT!! Right now, he's playing like a second stringer, so he deserves second string playing time.

    BENCH STEVE!!

    I concur.

He's not a leader by any stretch of the word. My penis is smarter than him.

    (whatever that meant. :D )

Francis has never ever been able to run a fastbreak worth a crap.

Barkley was much better at running a break than Fransuck.

Uhh.....sit Francis and play Moochie?!?!?!!? :(

Well I guess...Francis must be hurting like hell.

We better win next game against San Antonio.

Our bench does well against them. :)

Steve did not have a good game but there were plenty of reasons we didnt win.

We played terrible for 3 quarters. No defensive intensity and James Posey's horrid game.

You can't play 4 v 5 on offense. The open player must make a shot and Hawkins did a good job.

Without Francis this team would win about 35 games.

With Francis, we're a 40-45 game. So much for being a "star".

Francis always craps in his shorts when he is relied on in a big moment. He's a poor man's Marbury. That is pretty sad for so called Stevie "Franchise".

That's not true. There have been several games when he's made the clutch 3 pointer to tie the game.

At the start of the game, we have 2 players who are very bad offensively - EG and Posey.

When we run our usual offense, it requires people to make open jump shots which we cant do.

Basically teams are playing a 3v5 man/zone against us and daring the other 2 players to make shots - which they cant.

When mo taylor is hitting like he was tonight, we made a s erious run. When Mo Taylor cant hit either, we're screwed.

To be a really good team, we need 1 more very good player. Don't kid yourself, this team is not as talented as some may believe.

We have to get that missing link. If not, we better run a different type of offense.

Posey and Francis were a combined 2-21! I always hate how Rudy never punishes anyone for bad play. He just lets them shoot or play lazy D and never makes a statement by sitting them.

I'm not a Steve lover but I have to say don't be too harsh on him. Francis is a good player and like everyone else, he has his off time. We can not just blame any single person about the loss. The whole team has serious problems, expecially the coaches.

Screw that...This loss falls completely on the shoulders of Steve. If he has even a MEDIOCRE shooting night, we might win this game, but he completely chokes.

Well, this is what I get for being positive, a 1-2 road trip. Time to fire up the pessimism machine to full blast

Itr's easy to lay the cheap shots on a player when they have a bad game or have been injured. I'm almost ashamed to a rocket fan if rocket fans are going to be that shallow.

If Steve had a bad game, we win. Turns out he has a terrible, nightmare of a game. He had a bad game, as fans we don't even know how he was feeling, back or otherwise. Stop the knee jerking dumbass comments please. He had a terrible game, want to "trade him for a bag of chips" now? Pathetic.

We can't trade him. No team will take on a contract of that length and dollar amount.

I don't buy the injury excuse. If he's injured, he should be on the bench anyways

    Fransuck?

    Suck this.

It's his 4th year in the league, wtf do you expect? NBA Finals already? How long did it take Dream, MJ? You have to LEARN how to win. Our 2-5 OT record shows our youth. Be patient.

Francis has hit at least two HUGE 3's to force OT and he also screwed two games with big TO's. Chill out. God, one win and he is GOD, one loss and he is satan...

Francis did not play bad...he shot bad. He never forced the issue. He took the open shot after the ball was passed BACK TO HIM (most of the time) He had an off night.....thats all it was

    My God.

    I KNOW!!!!!!

    Patience.

    They all took time.....

    BUT MAN. It's painful.

    I KNOW THEY WILL DEVELOP.

But I just can't stand it when they lose.

Maybe I should watch them in 3 years.

    Fire RudY?

    Hope not.....

WELL FRANCIS SHOULD SIT DOWN IF HE IS INJURED. He needs to make those open shots. I MEAN.....he was actually open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he should take advantage of this wonderful opportunity..:(

Now I'm going to defend Steve.

He played a good floor game tonight. He had 7 assists and only 1 turnover and didn't really force anything. His injury is indeed bothering his shots. Normally you would never see Steve miss a breakaway dunk.

I would give Steve some rest and reduce his minutes a little bit, but we should never bench our best player just because of a couple of bad games when he's injured.
