I dont understand why are second unit cant be a couple inches smaller at the 3 spot. If JT deserves playing time, then why sit Ish when chase has been struggling all year long? Not really on the "Free JT" bandwagon, but what i saw yesterday in the milwaukee game was a lot of "want-to" that everyone talks about - he was D-ing up, scoring when he got the opportunity, and most importantly, looked like he cared. Chase's confidence is down, and while sitting him wont help that, i think we need JT's eagerness to play and Ish's speed at the PG speed. CLee can play the point when he needs to D up a bigger Pg, but shouldnt be our primary backup...thoughts?
JT should get more time, even though I think CBud is better than JT. JT plays hard and confident...CBud does not.....give me mistakes of aggressive players over cowardly play. DD
yea i agree that jt should get more playing time, but ish needs the D league to learn. I love ish da dish , but would u rather him have to try to guard some of the best pg's? Id feel safer with lee guarding them. I dk, i just hope we get are act together...last night was just a poor shooting night overall.
Taylor should get Bud's minutes. Not sure why this would even be a debate. Chase looks like a lost scared puppy right now. He's awful. When you're 1/4th of the way through the season, this is beyond a slump.
AND STOP PLAYING LEE AT POINT !! LEE AT POINT IS KILLING ME !! not saying we lost because of lee specifically in MIL, but in the games when he plays point our offense dies ! every time! /free ish
Jermaine Talor needs more playing time, that is for sure. Bud right now is killing the team, and that sucks because he's better than how he's been playing. Idk, right now i'm fine having Lee playing back-up point he needs more minutes too.
Chase sucks. He misses all his threes and he is just playing scared. Jermaine Taylor is active, boneheaded, but at least he's not a p***y.
You know the Rockets scoring drought against the Bucks started when Lowry replaced Lee at the PG position? Lee was able to get it down to a three point deficit by the time Lowry entered the game.
care to explain why? bud's 7ppg, 3rpg, 2apg that awesome in his 20 mpg?. my point is that, if RA is hellbent on giving JT a chance, it should come from chases minutes instead of ish. just not sold on lee running backup point at this point. i love posts that dont have substance. carry on PDH.
JT shoots more than Von Wafer!!! That being said, the effort is there. Last year our team had the identity of a group of guys that put forth 100% effort every single play. I miss that team. I say play JT and put Chase on the end of the bench until he works it out in practice. I agree, Chase is a better player when he is on his game.
Adelman should stop the practice of Ish bringing up the ball and then handing it over to Lee who initiates the offense. I think this is one of the dumbest plays that Adelman can design. The strength of Ish's game is initiating and organizing the offense, and yet, Adelman makes him hand the ball over to Lee, a second rate playmaker, to start the offense while Ish stands in a corner doing nothing. Adelman should utilize the rare talent of Ish to penetrate the defense and make plays, not to stand in a corner waiting where he is practically useless since he does not have a good outside shot. Lee should be doing the standing in the corner thing since it is he who has a very good outside shot. Furthermore, Ish will be much more effective and devastating if he is given more leeway to make plays within the offensive sets. He has great instincts and if given the right guidance and, as he learns to play with more control, he would be very effective. As it he has good control of the offense already. Adelman, release Ish. Use his rare talents, do not restrain it.
Chase Budinger has fallen off the face of the Earth. Who knows if he'll every be the same. I with this line-up though. Get Budinger off the court.
What the heck are you talking about? I agree for the most part with the op, Chase's struggles have continued and if anything, after last night, appears to have gotten worse. It doesn't really look like he is going to be able to play his way out of it, at least not at this level. Im starting to think a trip down to the D-League is in order where he cant continue to hurt us on the court in the immediate future. I agree with DD that Chase over all has a higher ceiling and should be a better player than JT, and I actually haven't even been the biggest fan of JT. However, last night was very promising with JT showing some great help defense and was very active, although he did leave his man for open threes on a couple of occasions. That can be worked on, and i'd rather take his energy than a scarred lethargic Chase with the showing he has had of late. I do like what Lee can bring defensively against bigger/stronger point guards like Derrick Rose and Derron Williams, but seeing him run the offense is just plain scary. Once AB comes back, the issue of who should be back-up point guard should change and become more an issue of AB or Lowry, so not sure how Ish is going to fit in then. If Rick is even hesitant to give JT more time, give the minutes at 3 to Lee, who has been showing great defense and has the athletic ability to take it to the basket, in addition to potential to be a great shooter like he showed versus the Bucks late.
That sounds good to me. Although we are a little short at the SF position. But Lee's excellent defense would make up for the lack of height.
First and foremost the entire team is in a slump, not just chase. Ish is only effective when the rest of the team is rolling. Ish cannot score the ball effectively by himself. JT has seemed somewhat lackluster on the floor, he's been on and off, but nothing to merit taking time away from Chase. Even as Chase struggles with his shot, he still gets good plays cutting to the basket and he still has a raw athleticism and jumping ability that neither Ish not JT has. JT is close to Chase, but in the time it takes JT to perform consistently Chase will already be out of his slump. Just for a point of reference, aren't you the guy who thought harassing Kyle Lowry via twitter was a good idea? Another great idea. You've got nothing but gold coming out of that head of yours.
