i would like to say im sorry for my ludicrous, brash posts about jason collier. when i post in the bbs i am severely intoxicated, and my over the top commments, are just attempts by myself to heal the pain that was the munber 9 pick by the houston rockets on draft night. i just expected something great, and it didnt happen. i dont really mean that jason is the worst player in the nba...i just am getting out the anger. i actually hope with all my heart that he is a successful player with the rockets. i just dont see it happening. so i apologize for being pessimistic. i apologize for posting "immature" comments. sorry cat, sorry behad, sorry jason collier supporters. i hope he has a good season. i will try to root for him. i had just hoped for a better draft pick. Go rockets. Go jason collier. we WILL make the playoffs and we will shock the world.

    Good post Holden.

A much more interesting post than one of the many "Collier sucks, sign anyone else..." posts.

Nothing wrong with being dissappointed by the draft. I would be lying to say I wasn't. After all that losing, I was hoping the Rockets would be able to land someone that would be a difference maker, and soon. Collier isn't that. He may be a solid bench player, but he isn't going to be a stud for the rockets by any stretch of the imagination. Damn Lanky has some potential, but we'll have to wait and see.

But I also take into mind the Rockets had very little to pick from that would have been a difference maker. The only potential star player I think was left was Courtney Alexander, but the rocks already have all their guards.

again, good post Holden, don't worry, everyone has a bad post now and then that they wish they could take back, just learn from it.

We used to do it all the time in the BBS hangout Holden. Wait, we still do, but we don't take it seriously. We've all learned not to direct any comments personally, or at least we've tried. Basically, we're a big happy family over there!

Posting drunk is kinda fun though!

Holden, don't worry- your posts suck equally as bad when your sober. You might as well keep drinking.

    Holden,

That's all myself and other Collier supporters want. Give the damn guy a chance before you label him a failure. Pippendagimp, Lil Francis, and others- you could learn a thing or two from this guy.

Maybe when The Cat takes his head out of his ass it will become at least somewhat apparent to him how annoying his numerous and redundant posts are. Maybe it's not just coincidence that everyone on the ESPN boards became quickly disgusted with his penchant for latching on to any poster who disagreed with him. Perhaps one day he will have the capacity to shut the f*ck up for 2 minutes and move on, that is of course after he removes his head from his ass.

    Apology accepted Holden.

My philosophy, for as long as I have been a Rocket fan (over 30 years) has always been "They're my home team" It doesn't matter if it is Hakeem Olajuwon or Steve Harris, if he is wearing a Rocket uniform, he will get my support. We were all surprised by what happened on draft night, but these are the Rockets and we are the fans. Sure, there are going to be times I will scream a stream of obscenities at the screen, but it takes a series of blatant screw-ups and lack of effort to cause that, not just a rookie trying his best to make it in the NBA. Give Collier time. If he is a bust, then we say damn,oh well, we'll get 'em next time. But at least give him time to learn first.

PS. Anybody remember who we passed over to draft Steve Harris? A point guard of some note. Anyone?

Good job pippendagimp, you took an olive branch post and broke it.

You can agree to disagree without calling each other an ass.

    holden,

Keep the chin up. Even if Collier is a bust (and I've sided with those who do *not* think so), we still have the Bucks pick next year. The pick improves if the TWolves have a worse record than the Bucks!

Man, it is going to be a great season. We will either be in the playoffs with a young, talented, and high-spirted team or we will just barely miss and be in a very deep Lottery. IMHO, it's a can't lose situation.

    Pip,

What a classy post. You're certainly a class act. [IMG]

(Oh, and by the way, it's funny how you say all these other people feel this way about me, but yet I've never to hear anyone but you criticize me like that. You don't speak for other people. Also, these are not the ESPN boards.)

I was wondering about that post myself, but I finally figured out that it must be the answer to Behad's question of several posts before.

I believe Mango was responding to Behad's question of: PS. Anybody remember who we passed over to draft Steve Harris? A point guard of some note. Anyone? Mango's answer is Terry Porter.

    Right?

What if we had gotten Courtney Alexander with our #9 pick only to find out our 2nd round pick deserves to start for now and get more playing time. See Dallas. I think if we where dealing in this situation, the same group of prejudgers would be mad at CA too.
