did you calculate that trade yourself?? if so, I'm impressed. I assumed it was RealGM generated. I love to hate RealGM because of my dislike of trade speculation, nothing personal. I did give you a smiley didn't I?
hp, I did have to grab some salaries from RealGM simply because I wasn't sure what each of these guys was pulling down per, although I was real darn close in each case. The exemptions were a slam dunk. The Rocks salaries and cap space are well known here. The rest seemed pretty straight forward. Now if we could only make this real. How sweet would that be??????/ Jackson/Curry/Mihm MoT/EG TMo/Williams/Bull Cat/Mercer Wink/Mooch Ok, ok...dreamcasting, but damn I'm bored! I just wish CD would move forward with this ****! ------------------ [This message has been edited by ROCKET!!! (edited July 26, 2001).]
I miss the days of trading players for horses* *Charley Finley did this once when he owned the Oakland A's ------------------ "For there is nothing either good or bad, thinking makes it so." - William Shakespeare (1564-1616), Hamlet [This message has been edited by BobFinn* (edited July 26, 2001).]
I would rather have Hakeem than any of those players. ------------------ Protrolls.com! Keep the ???? alive! The ZRBucks!
So the net effect is that the Rockets lose Dream, KT, Shandon, Cato, & Collier. They receive a HS kid (with an admitted upside), a center with a reputation for "soft" play even in the EC, an expensive ($14.0M / 2 year) SG to backup Cuttino and player they could have added to the team outright with far less hassle. Someone will have to explain the merits of this trade to me. I don't see it. Another thing I don't see is Dream agreeing to play for Cleveland when the Raptors can sign him outright for more $. And Dreams smart enough to know that with him, Toronto is very competitive. ------------------ Raef to Rocks in '01-'02! [This message has been edited by GATER (edited July 26, 2001).]
For some reason, this reminds me of the thread, "If Dream was a horse, we'd have to shoot him." Remember that, in 1999?? I like to read that every once in awhile when Achebe is getting too Polyanna about Dream.
Cleveland gives up too much and we benefit even more. But I would do that in a heart beat. ------------------ Fuggetabout it
Rodney, Just don't even go down that path with ZRB. He is a true diehard Hakeem believer. ------------------ He must have an enormous schfashtuker! Well, of course. That goes with out saying.
I would trade Hakeem for Curry straight up. Heck I would even throw in Kenny and Cato if the Bulls could make room under the cap. ------------------ I cut all the heads off of a Hydra, and all I got was this StupidMoniker. "God is dead" - Friedrich Nietzsche ~1880 "Nietzshce is dead" - God 1900
I've never seen a more ridiculous trade idea. What are the benefits to the bulls in this deal? They not only give up their freshly drafted HS genius for the fearsome duo of Kelvinator Cato and Cornfed Collier up front but they lose their best guard and replace him with andre miller and shandon anderson. What would the rockets do with ron mercer? why doesnt the lineup look intimidating when you put it there? i'm not a lakers fan but shaq and kobe would laugh at that trollop of a lineup you claim is your dream team. that trade sucks. you suck. ------------------
Man,I would love that deal! With that roster,we would have good chances to finish 2nd in the west (Behind the f*cking lakers)!I love that deal, especially that we lose Cato and get Curry!!!!!! ------------------
