Recap

    Boxscore

    Well judging by this game:

Jay Williams will be a bust. I mean what second overall pick shoots 4-14 from the field and 1-5 on threes for 11 points In his first preseason game? Doesn't he realise that EVERY game is important? Do you really want that attitude in a second overall pick?

Chicago have improved dramatically or Boston have declined dramatically. Only winning by 11 you would be concerned if you were Bostons coach. As for Chicago losing by 11 to last years Conference finalists is a big improvement for them.

The box score doesn't seem to want to show up properly, so I can't analyse other players and foresee how they will play this season based on this game. Sorry. However from the recap Curry and Hoiberg are going to be the two offensive powers for Chicago this year, as they were the two highest scorers for the Bulls.

    Wow, You're SO funny...

I think Jay is pretty overrated, and to hear Dick Vitale say he is the top NBA pg after Kidd is ridiculous. Williams is a good player, but I don't think he'd ever be a top 5 PG.

Not going to get in some big argument about this though...

Great post. You make a very good point about overanalyzing preseason games.

I'm surprised he admitted that there was a player in the NBA better than the ones from Duke. He's that bad.

Well this is the same guy that said the Rockets should have taken Jay Williams and paired him with Francis and had the best backcourt in the NBA and swore up and down that the Rockets picking Ming over Williams would haunt the Rockets organization for years to come. I swear if Vitale had the #1 pick in the draft and God made himself eligible for the draft, God would be going 2nd.

Yeah, that was a ridiculous quote from Dicky V. However, I do think Williams could become a top-five point guard. Key word: become. He's got all the physical aspects to succeed in the league and the intangibles to go with it.
