The Rockets have a record of 7-2. They have averaged 101.2 points per game, including the low scoring game against the Spurs. Wesley, or the departure of Jim Jackson, has opened up our offense considerably. Wesley has helped the Rockets score more transition baskets and is a deep threat which other teams have to acknowledge. Count me in as a big fan of the JJ+Boki for Wesley trade.
Even though he hasn't shot that well, he brings a new energy to the team. Plus he doesn't make many turnovers. I like it!
It's shouldn't be "Since David Wesley joined the Rockets". It should read: "Since Jim Jackson left the Rockets". I think there is more to it than a lot of people know.
Thats very possible. Jackson was a liability defensively, could not consistently hit the open 3 and, in my opinion, was a terrible detractor from our team chemistry. He didnt really seem willing to pass the ball, unlike Wesley.
I'm not sure you can credit that to David Wesley. He's been playing like crap since he got here cept that one game where he went off. EDIT: Defensively, I must say, he has played very well in that area, at least IMO
If you look at stats alone, which you seem to have been doing a lot of recently, it would appear that Wesley is not to be credited with recent success. However, if you watch the games you will notice that Wesley vastly improves the team's ball movement and ability to score in transition. On defense, he has been a breath of fresh air as well, a very feisty defender. If he was 6'6", he'd be one of the best defenders in the league.
You can make that sort of argument about anyone who seemingly doesn't do enough on the stats sheet. The media and certain people liove to talk about people like najera and jerome williams because of the things they do that dont show up on the stat sheet, well guess what, theres a frigging reason they are who they are. Talk all yo want about their intangibles, but don't make it like they're the reason for teams winning. theres a reason some guys get paid 12 million a year and others get paid 6 million.
I'm not talking about intangibles here, I'm talking about something I, as well as many others, have observed in actually WATCHING the games. He passes the ball. Its simple, he actually does it. It improves ball movement and chemistry. Whats up with you trying to aggravate everyone?

I do watch the games, about 75% of them, that's my opinion, I'm not telling you to do anything or be anything, I'm just stating what I see
Well the "watching" routine is important, as "watching" a game is the most effective way to evaluate the team.
thats good to know, thats why I've had League Pass since the day it came out, try not to make personal judgements about me. It's possible for a guy who has watched the games to think Wesley isn't as important as you think.
Wesley is and Underrated Ball handler. i think till tonights game his TO/assist Ratio was 33to 7. thats outstanding in anyones terms.
He hasnt been the ballhog I thought he would be from his past history. The trade hasn't been as disastrous as I thought it might be
His assist to turnover ratio is 4.24 since joining the Rockets. That would rank as 3rd in the NBA. As of January 12, his +/- is 5.5, 3rd on the team (excluding Weatherspoon and Padgett who have received minimal playing time.) Seems like Wesley is the difference maker to me.
