Is there a way to just block out Sina sites? It's not necessarily the content that's annoying, it's the fact that maybe 12 people here can read Chinese. What's the ****ing point of posting an article in a different language without a summary or translation???

    [/BBS Pet Peeve #18]

EDIT: Just wanted to clarify by saying the post wasn't meant to call out michellexiao.

It basically said Juwan did it for T-Mac. It was T-Mac who wanted Mike James to be traded. Mike James was trash talking all game long. Juwan just want to shut him up and fire up the team.

PS: I think it is just pure speculation.

According to this article, an insider told SINA reporter that Juwan fouled James to take a stand against James' trash talk against Tmac and other Rockets, because it started to affect Tmac and others. I don't know how reliable this report is, if it is true, this unnamed insider got to be a Rockets' player, maybe Juwan himself.

    Briefly,
    1. Tmac was one of the main reasons for the trade, and James was really unhappy.
    2. James started trash talk against Rockets during the game, and Tmac was frustrated. When David Wesley turned the ball over at the end of first quarter, Tmac complained to DW. So when James did trash talk again in the second quarter, Juwan threw the ball to his face. Juwan hoped to find a chance for Tmac and others to let out their emotion, and cheer them up.
    3. Juwan thought that as a veteran in the team, he was responsible to lead. When he noticed that Tmac was frustrated, Juwan decided to cheer Tmac up and he did what he did.

I've read it, but I'm not going to do the translation here. It sounds like some BS story.

The reliability of the whole article is questionable, it's like the writer was trying to make up some kind of story based on his/her own view with no reliable source...

Sina article also said James WANTS to play for the Rockets and voiced this opinion repeatedly during the summer.

This is why I believe it is BS. Only opinion Mike James voiced repeatedly is he wants to play for the highest bidder after this season is over.

That's weird if it's because of a feud between James & Tracy. They gave each other a very friendly hug right before tip-off.

    LOL! What a load of s*** :D

I didn't see MJames talking trash to McGrady at all, he was trash-talking to the bench at times, and when the game was over Mcgrady went over to him and they looked more than cool with one another, looked like they were chatting about something and just joking around.

After the game, McGrady said that he and MJames are "good friends". The two guys hung out in Houston all the time during the summer.

Seriously, there is no basis to the whole perceived McGrady - James feud. I have seen zero evidence to support that statement.

And Howard did it to 'cheer up T-Mac'? McGrady didn't look frustrated or lost his poise during the game, except early on when he wasn't getting any calls whatsoever. I watched the game and didn't see what the article is supposedly referring to.

Am I the only one who think posting links from sina is just wasting everybody's time?

It almost like a pattern here. One poster post a link, add one sentence's translation. Lots of people don't understand it. Somebody spend their time translating the whole article and then everyone starts to bash, calling it BS, trash, etc.

I mean since most of ppl here don't appreciate the articles from sina.com and they don't even think it is credible anyway. Why waste everyone time keep posting them?

WHY you have to ban the sina.com link just for one of these speculative BS articles ??

Very often, the sina.com provides information and news not covered by and well ahead of Western media due to they have reporters based in Houston providing full coverage over Yao Ming. A more recent example is they are ahead of Houston Chronicle or Associated Press to report that Yao Ming is now able to do some light shooting practice and strength and conditioning workouts.

Posters only need to be more selective and exercise good judgement to pick those articles and provide translated summaries for them, before posting them here on Clutchfan site.
