    (roughly translated from Chinese article... so the quotes are not exactly correct I also don't know the reliability of the sources, but the quotes sound legit)

    Van Gundy, after being asked about bench minutes:

    On wife and rookies:

    My wife has her own opinions about lineups, but it's not about Novak. She doens't like rookies, either. Rookies mean mistakes, mistakes mean losses, losses mean getting fired, getting fired means no shopping. On this point, I agree with my wife"

    Xeno, I think that's totally real. It's classic Van Gundy humor. Remember, this is a guy whose parents have to watch his games in seperate rooms on TV so that they don't kill each other. You think his wife is any different?

    In the end of the report, they asked if TMAC cared how many points he pinned each nite, TMAC anwered:"does it really matter? When other teammates have a better position, i will pass. As long as the Team gets a W, i dont care."

    JVG is pretty entertaining. he just tells it like it is...

    i remember when he did tnt games... i always thought he was funny.

    so what if he has a smug look to him? he's cool and he's doing his best to manage each person through the whole season. if it was just about one or two games we might have seen bonzi by now.

    viva vangundy!

    prediction: bonzi will be out for awhile and the rockets will continue to tinker with lineups until after the allstar break after which tmac will return to superstar form, bonzi will be in the rotation, and luther is our starting pg. vangundy coaches the rockets to a 4 seed and make it to the wcf.

    No one has said this interview is fake, at least not yet. Is it because the translator this time writes in more fluent english so it makes the interview sound more legit? ;)

    That is a good translation of the text at the link. There is also something at the end of the article: T-Mac commenting on his reduced scoring and saying it doesn't matter as long as his teammates are scoring the ball.

    usually, sina reporters/columnists translate this kind of interview stuff from US media, like Chron.
    If you cant find the original article in English, chances are they are not real, LOL.
