Now before I humiliate myself any further by repeating such Yahoo NBA Chat-esque comments, I'll get to the point. Steve Francis outplayed the second best(arguably the best) point guard in the league tonight. If he can keep his injuries to a minimum, we just might have ourselves a Thomas, Stockton, or even a Payton on our hands. ------------------ WE WILL WATCH THEM FALL.
The kid is improving by leaps and bounds. Think about in the preseason the first time he faced Gary Payton -- he was torched and taken out of the game mentally. Next time he faced him he played to his level. Tonight he outplayed Kidd in many aspects. There is no way he will get it since the media already has wrapped it up for Lamar Odom, but Francis shouldn't be behind Odom at all in the Rookie of the Year race. ------------------ Clutch Out to prove Scottie Pippen will apologize at gunpoint. www.clutchcity.net
Francis sprained his ankle, will he be able to play tommorow and scorch Odom's ass? You gotta like his game.
I doubt he will play and he shouldnt play. I dont want him to get more hurt. But now i have to watch that sorry ass bryce drew play more minutes. DAMN HE SUCKS!
Clutch: May be you could say that Francis is improving alot. But I would rather say that Francis has been given the frredom to lead this team, by the God-sent gift, a disguised injury to Hakeem. It is just a sad fact that Rudy would wait till an injury to Hakeem for him to realize this should have been FRANCIS team. ------------------ Rockets' biggest problem is not player talent levels, it is the coach's ineptitude.
Francis is a much better player at this early stage than Iverson was....Not even close..If given the green light to drive at will and jack it up non stop like Allen,he'd be averaging 30-35/game.BUT:This kid is being brought along the right way and as we've seen will probably be getting a ton of triple doubles throughout his career. What Stevie's going to be about is CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES.I think a more appropriate comparison would be to(dare I say it,it's almost blasphemous)a mini M.J.................He can pretty much do anything he wants and it's only been 16 games. He has the hunger and is developing the killer instinct like the man.As long as he plays the point though, I think his numbers should be similiar to Magic's.Speaking of Magic,I see a love for the game that reminds me of him.We are privileged to watch first hand a legend in the making........and I believe also that more titles will follow in the coming years. HH
It's so funny seeing players falling back on their heels trying to defend him. He looks like he can score at will every time down the court. I still wish he'd shoot a little more though. Also when was the last time teams had to ever double team a Rockets point guard.
He should be going to the line 10-15 times a game.........Rudy T should clear out and let him drive the lane more.
