Probably not a surprise to any but it's out there from a sports writer. I guess they want to see if they have to take Griffin or if someone would take Randolph and others off their hands in addition to the first pick.

    He "tweeted" this. http://twitter.com/sportsguy33

So the Rockets can make a ridiculous trade and get an awesome player? Woohoo! Send them T-Mac for Randolph and the 1st pick.

Yao and McGrady for Randolph, Gordon, the #1 and DeAndre Jordan. Probably not enough salary for the Rockets to take back. I would have to hope something clicks for Randolph; he's actually only 27 right now. I've heard he has character issues but I'm honestly not familiar with them.

And that's a positive article on Randolph.

Put it this way -- the guy was 25 years old and put up 23-10 and the Blazers traded him for Channing Frye and the privilege of buying out Steve Francis.

He then put up 17-10 at age 26, and was traded for Tim Thomas (who was flipped to Chicago later in the year for peanuts) and the rights to allow Cuttino Mobley to retire.

This would be the 3rd team to run screaming from Randolph -- I'd stay away.

I'll take your word for it; didn't feel like registering to read that article.

i can't find it, but bill simmons always relates some comment by a high school or college coach something like he was always worried he was going to wake up and find out zach randolph was dead. bill said that probably wasn't a ringing endorsement of having that player on your team.

add in randolph being a lazy, don't do any of the little things (annual #2 in the eddy curry stat), locker room cancer player and he's the exact opposite of everything the current rockets have been built on.

i would rather give them mcgrady for free than take zach randolph for free. now if les would be willing to cut and pay randolph for however many years to get the #1 pick, that would be cool.

I do not think the Clippers would trade the 1st pick unless they get a veteran player plus an additional pick. They might be looking at Memphis, Oklahoma or Sacramento. But if the Rockets can steal the 1st pick without giving too much then why not!

The Clips may deal. The criteria IMHO owuld be deletion of a toxic contract, a good player and a very high pick. Think: OKC. Griffin is 'their Lebron'...

Rox cannot make a satisfactory offer.

Zach Randolph is a black hole. His negative influences to a team is pretty much on the same level as Stephon Marbury's at this point, believe it or not. If Zach comes to Houston... Well I might as well start hanging out at Spurstalk or LakersNation instead.

Why is this even in discussion. The Rockets have nothign to offer that the Clippers need.

All I want from the Clips is Camby hehe. However Griffin would be very nice.

If i could get thornton and jordan, i'd take randolph. He has character issues, but he is one of the best players on the blocks in the league, period.

The question is, does Zach Randolph thinks he's one of the best post players in the NBA.

I mean, the fact that Antoine Walker used to be unstoppable in the post didn't prevent him from being a craptacular 3 point shooter instead.
