According to ESPN NBA2NIGHT!!!! This in the Rockets Next Head Coach!!! He displays all the tools this team needs.
Thats good that at least they are giving him an Interview. I really think this guy can coach and might be a better fit for the Rockets than Dunleavy. 1) Brown 2) Silas 3) Dunleavy 4) JVG
I would pass, I don't really care for his style. He is a great coach, just can't see him as the Rockets skipper.
Brown=Short Term (Great Coach) Silas=Long Term (Good Coach) Dunleavy=Long Term (but do we really want him long term?) JVG=Good Coach (I dont think he is coming here anyways) If I had to pick, it would probably go to Brown. We have the tools to take it all the way and I think Brown could help us get there. I would also be very happy with Silas. Knowing the Rockets though....we are probably going to end up with Dunleavy.
You might be right! But let us hope it nothing but his coaching qualities and status. I think Coach Silas would be even more of a players coach than Rudy T and would not be a good move for this team. We need a Coach that knows how to be hard inorder to be kind, one that teaches and insists! Brown or JvG are the only two available.
I thought Silas did a good job with the New Orleans/Charlotte franchise. Considering the youth of the team it looked really good with a healthy Baron Davis. Young players such as Jamal Magloire flourished under his tenure.
A visit to second round play-off in the Big Easy is a good job? Anything else? Please don't tell me he is a championship coach. Check out his age also. There is a reason why he is not the first candidate for all the job available. He should be good for Raptors or Hawks, IMO. They play for play-off, not championship.
What exactly is wrong with his style? He's probably a better option than Brown because he won't bounce in a year, definitely better than Dunleavy, and I don't know how you could say JVG is definitively better.
Silas is just 3 years younger than Brown, what makes you think he will be here any longer than Brown? I konw Brown is on the move alot, but whoever he coaches for next will most likey be his last coaching job.
Your kidding, right? Silas is hard-core. He's not a big softie. I can see that man screaming in his players' faces. Didn't he give someone the finger on television a while ago?
WHy are we making so many interviews? Cus we are gonna have Larry Brown as head coach and Silas, Van Gundy, and Dunleavy as assistants.
We need Larry Brown because he will pimp-slap some basketball brains into this team and when we win we will fill seats at the new arena. But I'm glad Silas got an interview, and I really hope he gets a head coaching position...just not with us.
