yep, i checked nba.com and it says that griffin is unsigned. anybody know when we will sign him. since im on the subject of griffin, will he turn out to be like stromile (getting no minutes and not becoming the rookie of the year) since glen rice will most likely start at SF and take up all the time. hmm, i dunno about you folks but i wanna see griffin starting and putting up numbers like elton brand put up his rookie season.

It will be after we sign everybody else. Then we will sign our rookies because I believe we will be able to exceed the sallary cap with them.

Also, Griffen will not get the opportunites that Elton got because he's on a much better team. This team has a chance to get well into the playoffs while the Bulls at the time were struggling to win 20 games. You have to substitute stats for wins.

Then again...it might not. Since the Rockets have already played with Griffin and seen what he has to offer during the summer leagues, I'm sure they know what Griffin's capable of in his rookie year a lot more than we do.

Griffin will *not* be starting over Rice this season. The only way Griffin starts is if Rice (@ 3) or Mo (@ 4) get injured.

I predict Griffin will get a lot of minutes as a defensive center and at poward forward. Eddie is more of a big man than a small forward.

Oh, come on. We all know EG will average 23 points, Cuttino 24 and Steve 26. As a team we will average 120 points per game.

Can anybody say RUN ESC? :p

But seriously, we cannot expect Eddie to break out and win ROY. The dude's 19 and he has superstar potential, but look at guys like Garnett, Kobe and McGrady. I would say their disappointing rookie seasons are long forgotten now that they will be annual All-Stars probably all throughout their careers. I will be happy if EG averages 6, 6 and 2. Seriously. I think he will be able to grab a bunch of boards with his height.

If Griffin helps a team make the playoffs that didn't make them the year before, he should have a pretty good shot at making rookie of the year. Any of the other big shot rookies on teams that could make the playoffs? I don't think so. Of course if Kwame can bring the Wizards to the promised land, then he's got my vote. Same goes for either of the kids on the Bulls.

I expect EG to have a less then stellar rookie season, stat wise. 3 years from now, he'll be one of our big 3 though.

well, like LAfadeaway mentioned, the rookie of the year will either be kwame or the chicago rookies since they are starting and are on bad teams. they could probably get more numbers then

If he does not get injuried, Battier will be ROY. IMO

What we saw was a very limited spectrum of what he'll be capable of. Once he gets in his first NBA game, the real test begins. The "scrubs" he played against in the summer leagues are just a small glipse of what he'll see on a day to day basis come mid October when camp begins.
