Iguodala needs to be a starter for the Houston Rockets next year and we need to also try and sign Gordon Hayward still.

    Harden
    Hayward
    Iguodala
    Anderson
    Capela

    Bench:

    Beverley
    Lou
    Gordon
    Ariza/Dekker
    Nene/Harrell

Ariza looks too old but if it's out of him or Hayward I'd pick Hayward then go after a big man that has size, athleticism and defense.

This thread would be mediocre even if it were the offseason... which it isn't.

25 mpg, Ariza is more effective.

    Hayward, Rockets best 2-way player.

How on earth are we affording both Hayward and Iggy while still keeping all of these players? This thread is about as realistic as the Mavericks winning the championship this year.

Realistically if we drop Ariza/Anderson and make some trades to open some salary I'd take these two guys in a heartbeat. If we would at least keep Lou and EG that would be good.

The Jazz have more upside than the Rockets. Hayward's not leaving now they're a playoff team.

Every team out there will want Hayward and he doesn't even have any incentive to leave the Jazz. He can get the most money with them and they are already a winning team. He also has wife and kids and doubt he will move his entire family out of Utah to Houston.

Iggy is old and you can probably get him if you overpay for him otherwise he'll just stay with GSW and keep getting easy trips to the finals.

If we pay between 8-10 we can keep our current core together which I believe with the addition of iggy would make us very very competitive

Exactly and it would make GS bench worse at the same time

I agree that Andre Iguodala is old, but he is not that old.
He is 33 this year and I think most people would agree that he still has two to three good years left in the tank with a moderately high production level.

For the most part, Andre has been injury free though out his career.
Unlike Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon, where you expect that they will miss some game to some sort of injury, if you signed Andre, the expectation is that he would be injury free for the period that you signed him.

I wish we pursued Andre when the 76's put him on the trade block and traded him to Denver.
I also wish we pursued him when he was a free agent in 2013.
The Warriors signed him for a pretty cheap contract back then.
Considering what the Warriors signed him for, I thought that he was definitely attainable if the Rockets pursued him back then.

At this point, since Andre is 33, I would prefer that the Rockets pursue Gordon Hayward as a better long term option since Gordon is only 27.
I expect that Gordon would stay in Utah, but if he was looking to leave and wanted to go somewhere where he thought he could help a team realistically compete for a championship, Rockets has as good of a chance as any other team, if not better.
If the Rockets did manage to sign Gordon, I think it would put us ahead of San Antonio and on par with the GS Warriors.
