Could made some interesting Trade Talks

    I'm shooting for the
    Walt + Cato + Shandon [sign-n-trade]
    for
    Big Country and Shareef

    limited Cap hit
and we get better at the SF and at Backup C
    C- hakeem, country, Collier
    Pf - Mo, kt, Los
Sf - Reef, Langhi DRAFT PICK
    SG - Cuttino, Colson
    PG - Francis Moochie

[is this too many folx? for the roster]
This is a pretty young team
    and very good upside.

I wouldn't do that trade. We'd just give up one cap killer for another in the Cato/Country swap. Then there's SA+Walt for SAR. Walt's contracts up next season if I remember, and I'm not that impressed with SAR. He doesn't seem to have much heart when he plays. He just comes off as a guy who would disappear in the playoffs IMO.

Also Reeves and SAR take up 20 million in cap space. We'd be stuck with NO inside presence for many years. I'd rather let SA go and draft a small forward, and try to sign a PF/C with our capspace.

I don't see how you could do this deal and still resign Mo and Dream for the money they'll want.

No way that will happen. we've survived Cato, and now you want Country? Once is enough.
Also, SAR doesn't seem to play with the competitive edge. He can play, but he might turn out to be a SA and whine about not getting enough touches or the system not meant for him.
Also, if we sign them, we won't have enough to resign Mo and Dream.

If we have Rahim and Langhi @ the 3, why do we need to draft one? With your line up, we need to draft a 2 because Colson is not one, and he won't be back next year.

You can't pass up Jefferson if he is on the board. To hell with Langhi.

Why would we use our lottery pick on a small forward when we already have SAR?

Is everyone here convinced that Abdur-Rahim is the missing piece? I think that he might turn out to be a bust. Look at what he's done for the Grizz: absolutely nothing. We need to seriously think about how he'd fit in before we start discussing trades.

If I had some controll I would try to get Kurt Thomas off the Knicks. he is a steal at his 3.5 mill salary. walt for Kurt and we could do a Mo+shan for SAR (sign and trade)Kurt and KT could easily cover our PF slot and SF is covered for a long time.

it is gonna be tought to get rid of cato no matter what

I really like what Thomas can do though. he is really coming on

Well guys create you own plausible trades!!!

I think Big Country would be ok under Rudy.
BTW how long is his contract . . .when is it
over. [I did not know walt's was up next
year . . .that being the case I could bear
    with him another year]

How about Cato and Walt and Picks for 'Reef, as was proposed just before the trade deadline? Then sign Antonio Davis to play center.

    Davis/Collier
    Taylor/Thomas
    Abdur-Rahim/Langhi
    Mobley/Anderson
    Francis/Norris

If the Grizz would go for it . . .I'm all for it.

I think Shandon should have some trade value
since he not going to stay .. who do you think
would be interesting an a sign in trade for him

Basically besides us. . . Who would want SHANDON?

Because all the good big men will be gone and it doesen't hurt to have a deep bench.
