Here's one I haven't seen posted yet. Of course the trade couldn't happen until the FA signing period so ATL would have to pick for us and us for them. I've read in the past that ATL doesn't really want a pick so I don't know what they would want or what we could offer besides some picks. I was thinking that #13, #18 and Shandon for #3, but I don't think they want picks. On second thought, this is never going to happen so what's the point of this post. Oh well, I'll post it anyway just to say something.

We'd have to slip something else to the Hawks to get them to do this trade. Like maybe Rohypnol.

If they made that trade they would be getting raped.

Was it anything like your Kenyon Martin prediction? [IMG]

Based on that trade, they must not want talent, either.

Feel free to show more restraint next time. [IMG]

How would ATL be getting raped? They would be getting two picks in a very deep draft and one of the best defensive players in the league. Shandon would fit into their system better than Rudy's, hell, he'd fit better on just about any other team than Houston. BTW, I didn't predict Scoonie Penn #2 last year. I said he'd go in the second round if I remember correctly. BTW, since we're reminiescing back to last year Najera turned out to be decent for the playing time he got. He turned some heads in Game 4 vs San Antonio in mop-up duty.

Najera sucked except in garbage time where he excelled. He's a great garbage time player. Good players aren't 11th and 12th men on a team.

Oh, so you're saying Dan Langhi sucks because he was nothing more than an 11th or 12th man on the team most of the year and only got garbage time. I guess he'll never amount to anything. Moochie Norris wasn't even good enough to be an 11th or 12th man on any team 2 years ago and look at him now. So it's rediculous to say that good players aren't 11th or 12th players on a team.

Good players aren't 11th or 12th men on their team.

Moochie Norris is a good player; he is not the 11th or 12th man off the bench.

Dan Langhi is not a good player; he is the 11th or 12th man off the bench.

Eduardo Najera is not a good player; he is the 11th or 12th man off the bench.

Nowhere did I mention "potential". Potentially Jason Williams is one of the greatest PG's to play the game. But he isn't now is he? I'm dealing with facts, not hypotheticals. If you want to deal with hypotheticals, then pose your statement as such.

    Your exact quote :

He did not turn out to be a decent player based on one game. He was a scrub just like Langhi. What they do in the future is another story. Come back to us and brag when Najera makes the All-Star team or something... [IMG]

I remember last year the Rockets offered the Clippers the #9 and Anderson for the #3 pick. So, if the Clippers won't do it, I doubt the Hawks would.

Really? Then someone was starting threads with your userid. Probably Clutch!

Try clicking on the link below and tell me that you were predicting Penn in the 2nd round. If you were, then you were predicting Najera in the 22nd round.

Let me get this straight now:

The Rockets can trade Shandon for #3 and Cato for #4. MJ wants a PG, so we trade Moochie and #13 for #1. Then in the draft, we get

    #1 - Eddy Curry
    #3 - Kwame Brown
    #4 - Shane Battier
    #18- Ken Johnson
    #23- Gearld Wallace

We sign CWebb and Dream and have a 2001 lineup of:
    Francis
    Mobely
    Battier
    Webber
    Dream

    Bench:
    Curry, Brown, K.Johnson, Wallace

Do you think this is possible? [IMG]

You know you're right aelliot. I can't believe I had Scoonie #2. I think that must have been a typo but it was so long ago that I can't remember why I put him #2. Honestly, that's rediculous if I predicted him #2. I said Najera turned out to be decent for the playing time he got. I don't know how else you can describe him other than he was decent when he got into games. Dan Langhi was also decent when he got into games. Sure you could say they were both scrubs last year but that doesn't mean they aren't good players. They were good players when they got into games so I don't see how you could say they are not good players just because they are buried on the bench.

    Stop.

    Think to yourself.

"Why were they buried on the bench?"

They both suck at this point in their careers, that's why. They're both benchwarmers.

They're freaking rookies drafted in the second round. Most second round picks don't even stick on a team much less get playing time. What do expect, Eduardo to just take Dirk Nowitzi's starting job. My God, do you realize that not all 11th and 12th guys in the NBA suck. Yes their are Jack Haley's who just fill a roster spot, but then their are guys like Eduardo and Dan who are just waiting their turn. I don't know how else to explain other than they are paying their dues and eventually they will get the playing time needed to show their skills. It's not like a player just gets 10 times better overnight, they just get more playing time and they are able to get into a rhythym and play well. Here's a comparison. Ed and Dan are like Daryle Ward, they have skills but they don't have a place to play. They get occasional minutes, or a pinch-hit if you will, and sometimes play decently. If they ever got enoughplaying time they could show how good they are. Just like when Ward looked like Babe Ruth the first 2 weeks of the season. I don't know how else to explain this.
