Odom will be a restricted free agent this summer, so the only way to get him is a sign and trade.
    i put this way

    Mobley 6yr-31m
    Norris 6yr-22.7m

The clippers sign Odom to a contract worth arround the 55m for 6 years. I think is reasonable.

Rockets send to clippers Mobley+Norris =53.7m
Clippers send to rockets Odom= 55m
    TRADE ACCEPTED

    Lineup
    PG-Francis(i love him as a pg, be a 2 will be a mistake),FA,Maddox
    SG-Posey,Rice, Hawkins
    SF-Odom. Nachbar,Morris
    PF-Griffin,Taylor, (2nd round pick)
    C-Ming,Cato

I don't know. I like Odom but his offensive game is somewhat limited. An Odom, Posey, and EG starting 2,3,and 4 wouldn't bring much offensive firepower to the table (even though I like all 3 of them).

I'm sure Sterling would just love to pay Norris the rest of his contract...

First, the only possible reason i could see the clippers being interested in this is because you get a great value in Mobley and everybody knows Sterling is cheap. But then that's offset with the horrible value you get in Moochie.

Secondly, why are so many people so interested in Lamar Odom joining the Rockets roster? He's a pot smoking underachiever who's entirely too injury prone. I don't want him.

I see that stupidity still reigns supreme on the Rockets 2003: Game Action & Roster Moves board.

Mobley goes to Clips so Clips can resign Odom.

Expect Dre. Hope for Brand. Forget Odom.

I think a deal like Cato + Griff for Odom + their choice of Wilcox or Ely would make a good deal. Griff is more capable of playing the 4 than the 2 rooks right now, and is better insurance, while Cato takes Kandi's spot.

Maybe if we further sweeten it by swapping Mobley with their choice of a SG?

What exactly would that do for us? Are we just trading for the sake of trading? Odom is NOT a winner. How will Odom improve this team? Don't tell me he will be a point forward because he to is a scorer first, passer second. He needs the ball to be effective. He doesn't play defense! And he can't protect our big two when push comes to shove. We do not need Odom!

i think Mobley and Moochie is an average deal.. Odom is a risk with the drugs and the injuries but he does seem like a player that would fit in with his passing and his moves like Mobley... Mobley is one of Odoms good friends so if Mobley is traded for Odom im sure that Odom wouldn't want to play just for Francis along side.. i think Odom likes the Mobley and Francis combo with Odom which to make a statement with a young team.. i dont want mobley to leave if Odom comes here.. im sure something special would happen if all 3 of them play together with Ming @ center :) but thats JMO

I didn't know we needed another pot smoking forward. Not only are our PF's pot smoking idiot, underachievers, are future Sf will be a pot smokin underachievin numbskull.

I think we really got something here. Lets have a monopoly on all the potsmokers in the NBA so we can give the economy a boost here in houston.

Maybe we'll need a pot smoking coach to go along with the players - so we have to be in the ARC.

We have our two big stars in Franchise and Yao Mingh...

    BUILD AROUND THEM!!!

Odom will not be a role player...

We need a true PG, a bruiser inside(PF) and another good defensive player at the 2 or 3(unless we can keep Posey and Hawkins)...

whats with the obsession with Lamar Odom here? Some people here make it seem like he is the second coming to Magic Johnson or something??
