Yao was an impact player last night making plays, as we have come to expect and hitting big buckets when we need them. The sick thought is that he was 17 and 15 and had his 4th double double in a row...oh ya and add 4 blocks and 5 assists and his shooting average was one of the lowest of the year--only 35%. This was a below average offensive performance!

I guess we can allow Yao these kinda nights :)

It is sick to think that this was an off night more the Mingster!!!!

Memo to Yao: Love your off nights...keep them up:eek:

Yao Ming knew that's his bad shooting night. So we saw some good passing he gave out. Yao Ming's 6 points score in last couple minutes is priceless. The prize should go to Rudys

I think the point Montgo was trying to make was despite a bad shooting night Yao still kicked some butt. Imagine if what would have happened if he had a good shooting night last night. Actually I can. He would have made Divacs look like Bradley, Duncan, and Robinson. Overmatched!!!!!!

At least in this game, Divacs was overmatched.

Did Y'all notice the whole team shot poorly - .422 or so overall. Francis and Griffin were the only ones over .500. We won with defense. We got more shots and more good shots. The passing was spectacular, but the defense even better.

Kings typically outscore opponents. They're not known for great defense. Christie rides up on his man, and the guys inside are big, but not brutes. What's encouraging is how many open lanes we saw to the hoop, even when they knew our outside shooting was no good. KT bricked, Cuttino bricked. Rice and Tmo bricked. Griff hit a few. Only Steve was on. But with Yao's passing, and good picks, there were opportunities inside. I'd like to see Cat and KT slash more. They can both get up and move with force. I think they can both catch on the run and get up before the defense can set, or get up inside the circle where the defense can't get a charge.
