Couple admits showing baby's molestation on Web
    Associated Press

CENTER — An East Texas couple have admitted molesting their 1-year-old son, broadcasting the sex acts on the Internet and allowing a stranger to sexually abuse the child, authorities said.

Billy Don Latham and Ethel Latham were charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and remained jailed today on $200,000 bond apiece.

A police officer and a Child Protective Services worker visited the Lathams' home after CPS received a tip about the suspected abuse, Shelby County District Attorney Lynda K. Russell told The (Nacogdoches) Daily Sentinel for a story today.

Ethel Latham let them search her home, and they found a computer full of p*rnography, Russell told the newspaper. Eventually, both parents confessed to the abuse, she said.

A police spokesman in Center, located about 165 miles southeast of Dallas and about 50 miles southwest of Shreveport, La., did not return telephone calls seeking comment, and details about the allegations were not immediately available.

Harmie Smith, Russell's chief investigator, declined to tell The Associated Press today when the Lathams were arrested or when the search occurred. The boy, the couple's only child, has been removed from the home, he said.

CPS spokeswoman Shari Pulliam said she did not have enough information about the case to comment on it.

Smith said the stranger, whom the couple apparently met on the Internet, was from New York. He declined to say how the suspect was identified, and it was not immediately clear whether he would face charges.

Aggravated sexual assault of a child is a first-degree felony punishable by five to 99 years or life in prison.

a few years back i was dumb enough to give my e-mail to a XXX site. Ever since then i receive about 100 e-mails/day of adult sites. Every time i request to be removed it feels like the e-mails increase.

At any rate, i refuse to change my e-mail (workplace e-mail) & basically begin each morning deleting 100 un-wanted e-mails.

A few weeks back my eyes locked on a disturbing title. Of course, i clicked on it & it connected to the most disturbing pics you can imagine. Adults & pre-teens involved in the sickest acts. I contacted HPD, they came over, filled a report & that was it.

Those ***tards should be jailed for life. No parole, do not pass go & do not collect your $200.

that is a bad move....when you reply to the emails asking to be removed...you just confirm that the email address is active...which enhances the value of it to the spammers....they then put you on a list of "known good email addresses" and then sell that list to other spammers..

just setup a filter that checks each email when it comes in and trashes it before you ever see it...look for common words that is in the subject line and create a rule to send it to the trash.

now....I disagree with those that think they need to serve time....

I think they need to FRY....oh wait..we dont do the chair anymore...damn...firing squad anyone?

    whatever...you get the point.
