Reading some interviews, including the one on the SI site, it seems he may slow down making sports movies for awhile.
It's gonna suck, but every college student that watches family guy (75% of them) is going to go watch Semi-Pro. I know, cause I see them laugh at that trailer every time, just like they laughed at Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie....
Most Will Farrell movies are mediocore at best. While they supply laughter here and there, they usually aren't memorable, so I assume Semi-Pro will be no different. I won't pay to see it, I will just hop to it after I see something else.
He should, but the potential of a 70's or 80's baseball movie is tempting. I agree with CCR about how silly it is lumping Will Ferrell movies in with Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans. Both of those movie are only there to reference things we thought were funny a year ago.
I must be getting really old....because I have gotten to where I look forward to the issue after the Swimsuit issue even more than the SS issue itself. You know the one where the PW guys who's wives catch them with the Swimsuit Issue write in indignantly. "I read SI for SPORTS! I was shocked and upset by the presence of poor exploited scantily clad young women in last weeks issue. Please cancel my subscription IMMEDIATELY!" Despite the fact SI has done this issue since I was a child, and has put a checkbox on the subscription cards asking if you want the SS issue for the last several years. I mean I like the hot models, but the "Yes, Dear...whatever you say dear" issue cracks me up.
