http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/dr_z/10/05/ranks.week4.part2/index.html Houston Texans (0-3) "I felt like we were playing to our potential today," David Carr said after the narrow loss to the Bengals. Sacked seven times. Playing to their potential. God help them.
Oh, and here's the ESPN Power Rankings also: 32 (32) Texans 0-3-0 - So, David Carr, how's that new offensive coordinator working for you? Seven more sacks Sunday raised your total to 20 for the season. Man, we're a laughingstock....
Well if it makes you feel better, I think we could beat the Lions, Jets, Brown and Green Bay. Here's striving for 28th on that ranking by the end of the year!
It's time to bust out that old ESPN commercial for the NFL draft where it showed the Texans with no offensive line and then asks "What does your team need?" Who would have thought 3 years later we'd still be having the same problems. Is it that hard to find a team with a servicable lineman we could trade draft picks for. I think it's obvious that we need an O-Line more than a few draft picks now. We have the silled position players. I can't wait to draft another quarterback just to see he can't throw 40 yards downfield because he got sacked on only a 3 step drop! Or maybe we can draft another RB who can't get 5 yards because he has to break 2 tackles just to get back to the line of scrimmage.
According to 610, the OLine has been playing musical chairs again in practice. Pitts LT, McKinney LG, Hodgden C, Wade RG, Wiegert RT Could just be practice, but I'm pretty sure they said Pitts will start at LT and Wade will be at RG for sure. Our team is run by a bunch of hooligans..
the longhorns could beat the texans by at least 2 TD's... they deserve the bottom ranking, and the sad thing is, last week was by far their best game of the year and they still lost, and carr got sacked 7 times...this is going to be a VERY LONG year for the texans.
