http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/si_blogs/nba/2007/03/odds-of-beating-mavs.html Hmm no mention of the Rox, oh well
i think it would be 12:1, the Mavs do have hard time stopping Yao and T-Mac alone, it would be very difficult for them to defend both of them. Mavs would probably win the series in a tough battle.
This article was written before the game last night...you the Suns read this, becuase thats exactly what happened last night!
But he doesn't pick an EC team--just says Clev, Det, & Mia have a chance. So I think he does ignore the Rockets. Perosnally, I think if we get healthy and Yao is in shape maybe a 4-1 shot. Second only shot to derail the Mavs to the Suns at like 2-1. I think his odds for the Cavs, Jazz and Spurs are too high. They don't match up as well as us, Mia, Det and Phx. The Spurs are a very good team, but the Mavs are not a good match-up for them as they are a lot like them without the older, slower and one-dimensional pieces once you get by the big 3 of each.
The rason the Rockets don't have odds is becasue WE NOT THEM are the matchup problem. Bring that loser Cuban and Douchitski on.
It would be super cool it neither the Mavs nor the Suns made it past the second round. I hope that happens.
I wouldn't be surpised The Suns have to either play the Nuggets or the Lakers in 1st and Have a meeting the Spurs in the second. Dallas could get GSW or the Clippers (neither is give me) in the first and play us in the second, we have yet to play them at full strength this year (with both Yao, T-Mac, Bonzi, and Snyder).
IMHO Rockets defeat Utah Round one Rockets defeat Dallas Round two SAn Antonio defeat Phoenix in Round two Houston defeat San Antonio in Round three. Detroit defeat the Rox in 7 games [ Novak scores 8 3pointers in game 6]
