If Johnson is there I don't think there is anyway the Rockets would pass on him.

If Johnson is gone though I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets selected Oyedeji. Every year it seems like they select someone nobody expects them to.

Not only is our selection a bit odd, but look at the comments on #7 for the Bulls...

"With this shot blocker (Przybilla) in the fold, all Chicago needs is Tracy McGrady to be back in business"

Funny thing is they have the Bulls taking Miles at the 4th spot. Isn't his game going to be very similar to McGrady's? Then why would they need the addition of McGrady. Why would McGrady make the team so much better and Miles not. IMO drafting Miles means they don't need McGrady.

wrath_of_khan, you are right passing on Johnson, Moiso and Miller would be unbelievable to say the least. Can't you just imagine the scene at the Rockets Draft Party if that happened? Right up until the ninth pick was announced there would be a noisy volume of chatter among the loyal fans and then when Oyedeji's name was announced there would be at least ten very long seconds of shocked silence before the first of the party goers recovered and said those immortal words: "what the ****!". Since they already have Doleac, why would Orlando draft Mihm (a clone of Doleac if ever there was one). Przybilla dropping to #7, Miller to 13 and Cleaves to 23? That CNN draft must be trying to give MSNBC a run for its money as the wackiest mock draft of all. The one thing that would not suprise me though is Alexander (not Miller) going to the Hawks at 6. Time will tell us all very soon!!!

There is no way the Rocks would pass on Mike, Moiso, or Dermarr.

SI ceased being a serious sports publication a very long time ago.

Agreed. Oyedeji is a dominating presence in the paint. I saw him play a couple of games for the Nigerian national team, and he can bang with the best of them. Every European on that court was scared out of their minds when he came their way. I wouldn't be too depressed at all if we got him, but I wouldn't be too happy either, cuz I know that he is not known enuff to go that high. We should still trade up to take Miles, that guy was spectacular in the McDonalds All-America Game.

it wouldn't suprise me at all if the rockets take Oyedeji the guy has tremendous upside and is every bit as athletic as moiso dermarr and mike miller.
