I disagree heartily with this for the Rox! (Altho I wonder if Rox-Bulls would be interested in #1 for Theo Safalosa (sp?) to help facilitate Gasolto the Bulls?)

    2. Swingman Bonzi Wells and guard Bob Sura (Rockets) for forward P.J. Brown (Bulls).

Chicago may be unwilling to make a major deal for Gasol, but the Bulls are desperate for a post-up scorer. Why not rent Wells for the rest of the year? He's the best back-to-the-basket mercenary on the market; in spite of his disagreements with coach Jeff Van Gundy, Houston has been giving Wells as many as 15 post-ups per game during center Yao Ming's absence. With Yao due back later this month, the Rockets can afford to move Wells in exchange for the classy Brown, who has the professionalism and length (6-11) at power forward that Van Gundy covets for the stretch run. To make the numbers work, Chicago must take on the contract of Sura, who may never play again (multiple knee surgeries) and who is on the books for only $1 million guaranteed next season.

Wells could help the Bulls get past the opening round of the playoffs for the first time since the Michael Jordan era; Chicago isn't going to win the championship this year, but the Bulls desperately need to experience some success in the postseason.

I just hope we dont trade Bonzi. Of course I want him to be signed longer term- but if that is ruled out we have no choice but to trade him for someone who will fit here longer term.

Frankly Bonzi will be a big plus off the bench

I know we need some depth in the 4 position but PJ Brown seems kinda ancient for me, plus it's nice to have a 3rd scoring option.

Considering that our biggest obstacles in the postseason are the Suns and Mavs, in order to match-up I'd rather have an additional wingman scorer than an extra big man.

P.J Brown? We do not need P.J Brown, he is too old, isnt a scorer, will get no time behind Juwan and Hayes, we do need someone like Bonzi who is a 3rd scorer, our only driver, and someone that can take T-Mac's minutes when hes resting.

only problem is bonzi is stuck behind luther head and we have a glut at the SG position with 4 players: Tmac,Head,Wells, and Snyder.

LOL, this deal doesnt even work! I put it in the trade checker on realgm and....

    Failed Scenario
Due to Chicago and Houston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Chicago and Houston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only Chicago met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

i dont like that bonzi for pj brown idea at all. pj is still productive, but bonzi is a better weapon against the spurs.

I thought we need youth and athleticism at the 4,5 position? Is this P.J. Brown Jr. we would trade for?

no wells is not STUCK behind head.

when tmac is out, head and Bonzi are in together.

I would do it too, I don't think Bonzi fits in on a Yao team.....and his defense is not all that great.

He has not exactly been that great this year....the team was fine with Snyder playing his role.

I wouldn't do it, just coz it's for PJ Brown. Sure, we're got extra SFs, but thinking playoffs, we'd be able to match up and run with smaller Dallas or Phoenix lineups. PJ has slowed down in recent years, and would just be a short term solution. I think it's more viable that the Bonzi playing time situation can still be sorted out, and instead, we move Synder..

wtf?? Bonzi for PJ Brown?? have y'all seen this guy play??

PJ SUX!! this guy cant do anything! why would we get a big A$$ r****d who cant do anything?

Bonzi is a great player, I dont think we should EVER trade him. the guy got so many dimensions to his game and he can help the team A LOT!!

please media, stop saying the Rockets will trade Bonzi!

either way though I think this trade sucks for the rockets. whoever said we will use bonzi more against the suns or mavs hit the nail on the head in my book. what good is p.j. brown going to do us against elite teams?

Right now we are a good defensive team(top three) that needs to diversify the offense. taking away bonzi takes away some of that diversity.

finally our bench scoring has been terrible lately, and if you look at p.j. brown's numbers recently he doesn't score for the Bulls in the East.
