Sports Illustrated always disrepects the Rockets in the past. Can you find the incorrect Rockets fact on this page? http://207.25.71.142/basketball/nba/events/1998/playoffs/videoalmanac/ ------------------
Yeah, that's pretty sad, tinman... I thought it would be something small, like if they thought that Matt Maloney was still on the Rockets, or that Matt Bullard was a tree, but Clyde? One of the greats. Come on SI, get your **** together. ------------------ "Happiness is a journey, not a destination. Just plain sad...morons. ------------------ The season's halfway over...and I still need that keg of Pepto-Bismol. [This message has been edited by AstroRocket (edited February 17, 2001).]
Glide did not play for the Rockets in the '94 finals against the Knicks. He played in the '95 finals against the Magic. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. That is so tired and pathetic! I knew the Rockets didn't get any respect, but my god use a search engine to get your facts straight! And to post it TWICE on the same page is inexcusable! If I were Clutch, I'd put it on the front page, point it out, and make fools out of them. Afterall, these are the same geniuses that forgot to put the Rockets on the cover of the freaking magazine when they won the title! I guess it's fitting that they didn't put them on the cover of SI since apparently they didn't know who the Rocks were playing! ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . . rocks, they didnt put them on the cover when they won the title the first time? because i got the one with them on the cover when they one the second title. ------------------ http://www.democrats.com
Well that page is 3 years old so kind of late to make a big deal now lol. Took rocket fans 3 years to find that mistake? ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
Oh yeah, they made up for it and put them on the cover at the right time the 2nd time around. ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
Yep, and it's taking SI 7 years to get their coverage of the Rockets championship years right, and they STILL can't do that! ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
Actually, I believe that they were not on the cover either year. What you have is the special Texas edition. I'm not sure exactly how this works, but I believe that SI releases a global edition and then a special localized edition in cases where a team wins a championship. I also have the SI with the Rocks on the cover after their champioship win and this was *not* the regular edition on sale across the country. Wow. Could you imagine if SI wrote on the Bulls championships and mentioned something like, 'Kukoc and Rodman were integral in the Bulls' drive to their first-ever title in 1991"? There would be an all-out public backlash and SI as we know it would be no more. This is even worse, its the Glyde they're talking about. Shame on them.
