The ones I've learned to like: Big Brother - I don't have a problem watching this one with her. While she digs all the silly strategery and back stabbing nonsense, I can just look at Jen's body! At least until she gets voted off. Top Chef - The one is actually kind of addicting. Doesn't hurt that the 2 female judges are very easy on the eyes... Bridezillas - This one is hilarious. A few weeks ago, some bride got left at the altar. Intervention - Love this show. I would probably watch it even if she didn't. The ones I will NEVER learn to like: E News Daily - The one with Ryan Seacrest. It makes me want to slit my wrists. Grays Anatomy - Can't get into this one at all. Sex in the City - Despite Sarah Jessica Parker, I just can't watch this show. Project Runway - Any guy that watches this show...well, you can probably figure it out.
This girl I used to talk to wanted me to turn off the game so she could watch Dharma and Greg...we didnt last too long.
What not to wear- i'd rather have a tattoo on my face of a baby snorting cocaine off a donkey than watch this. Discovery channel- this is okay, has gotten better in the last few years Animal planet- toss up, sometimes good, sometimes awful
I wasn't "made" to watch anything, but Mrs. Giddy used to watch Gilmore Girls religiously. I started checking it out and got hooked. Some of the best and zany writing on television. Check it out in syndication and on DVD.
The ones I've learned to like: So You Think You Can Dance - It's not too bad.. I like watching some of the dances, but I will never understand modern dancing.. America's Next Top Model - This show is a train wreck from start to finish, but something about the absurdity of the contests to the photo shoots make it really entertaining How I Met Your Mother - This one is hilarious. I'm not sure why I didn't care for it much at first.. The ones I will NEVER learn to like: Gilmore Girls - Thank god this show ended this year, I couldn't take the sound of either of their voices in our home every Tuesday.. Veronica Mars - Please, little miss prissy couldn’t harm a fly, but I'm supposed to believe that she’s a total badass crime solver?? Project Runway - I with Ima, I hate this show for the limp wrist factor..
My wife likes all the DIY, home/garden fix up shows. Sex And The City I watched because of her but I thought was actually a pretty good show.
Of COURSE I did. But that's one I make HER watch! I still maintain that there will be a plot twist in which several of the "girls" will turn out to be guys. The tattoo one for sure, and there are several other candidates as well... Forgot to add: King of Queens - Funny concept for a show but I feel like it's been done before. Doesn't seem very original. Everybody Loves Ray - Again, funny concept for a show but it's been done so many times already. Just can't get into it.
What the REAL title of this thread should be: Shows I Love But Are Too Afraid To Outright Say I Watch The only show I can possibly get excited about is The Biggest Loser. (Premieres Tuesday Sept. 11th on NBC).
Sex and the City Everybody Loves Raymond - I hate this show, and I hate Raymond. Ghost Hunters America's Funniest Videos - This is the new show (not the Bob Saget one) VH1's List shows where they get comedians to make fun of every little detail
I guess I'm lucky- I don't 'have' to watch anything. We generally have the same tastes, but on the rare occasion when she wants to watch something, I just go in the other room and she's fine with it.
Mrs. rimrocker records three shows: that Stargate thing, the other sci-fi one where they're flying through space with fake humans, and the only one I watch... wait for it... Ice Road Truckers! She's fascinated by the big trucks rolling over the ice and likes listening to the Canadian accent, eh.
Mrs. Manny loves Lifetime and the Lifetime Movie Network channel. She gets very offended when I don't want to watch those movies and/or shows with her. As for old sitcoms, she likes "Dharma and Greg", but we never have enough time to watch the re-runs. That show isn't actually that bad. She was also the one who got me into American Idol. However, there is some show with Debra Messing on it that comes on USA on Thursday nights that she really liked. I tried watching some of it and I thought it was incredibly dumb. Thankfully, she hasn't wanted to watch it for some reason of late. But yea, that is a problem - she expects me to watch some of this tripe with her and actually like it.
