I was watching an anime today that came out earlier this summer didn’t think I would like it tried it thought it was way too slow paced but after watching it it’s actually pretty good. It’s not sús hentai or anything like that either but just a slow low energy pace and yet pretty interesting once I started watching a few episodes…

which I wanted to see if you guys had something similar as far as TV shows or whatever movies maybe where you thought you would have no interest whatsoever but then you actually got into it gave it a chance and glad you did. Thx

Where the heck is your answer? :D

Barney Miller : Great series that seemed stupid because I thought "They don't go anywhere or do anything - the show is basically just about their headquarters!"
Babylon 5 : "Star Trek without any decent special effects and most of these dudes look stupid, and man, this first season isn't all that great!"
Star Trek : Enterprise : (got good toward the end, but a lot of the earlier stuff really wasn't all that great)
Star Trek : TNG : "this acting is horrible and Worf looks stupid!" -- in my defense, those early episodes were horrible
Firefly : "Another one of those low-budget sci-fi wannabe's where the characters fly around the solar system on welfare or through piracy!" (It ended up being pretty good, if not great. I thought it was still overrated by its fans, though).
Northern Exposure : I generally don't like shows like this. Still don't know why I loved it. Well, there was always Janine Turner - that helped, but still.
Little House on the Prairie : No idea why I ended up loving this show about a family that lives through misery and tragedy damn-near every episode.

One day I may add something like M.A.S.H. to the list. I've never really watched it before outside of a few episodes here and there. Most of these shows I watched years or decades after they went off the air. I'm sure there are others I missed, but these are the ones I recall. I don't really watch many modern shows/tv, so that's all I have.

I'm not sure why but Lonnie Anderson's breasts popped into my mind.

    Thank you.

Benny Hill. That two seconds of nip shot at the end of episodes was totally worth it.

Big Little Lies is another show I got talked into watching, expected girly crap, and was surprised how good it was.

Or you could take the category, things that you showed, but that people didn't really like after all.

    Slow Horses in Apple +.

Another poster just started a thread about it since Season 4 just started. For those who like spy stories in the tradition of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy it’s a great show. With a great turn by Gary Oldman as the main character.

Peter Frampton. I mean he was waaay overplayed in the 70s. I was still pretty bleh on him in the 90s but had free tickets. I was more than impressed. That bald, bandana wearing dude can really play a guitar. Went off on some instrumental jazz licks that blew me away.

Kenny Rogers. Again free tickets in the late 70s and yeah the music was what I expected but man that guy can throw a frisbee. He was hitting people near the back and they weren't just heaves.

Jane the Virgin I was looking for something different on netflix than what I usually watch and gave it a try. It was way better than expected and highly recommended .
