If we do the unthinkable and knock off the Lakers, what do you expect the Rockets to do with Yao for the rest of the playoffs as they get closer to the Championship?

I thought they said even if we advance he's still done?

Knowing Yao, he'll be on the bench for every game the rest of the playoffs cheering on his guys.

Um, nothing? Keep and resign him? There is no way Les is going to trade away the biggest market regardles of whether we are better with or without him. It's a stupid business move.

Maybe so... but you have to think that if it gets down to a game 7... or the Rox are losing a matchup battle... Yao might gut it out for just a week.

    He's out 8-12 weeks.

Unless you were referring to what we do in the offseason, which will be nothing, because he is too marketable for us to trade him.

The same we're going to do with T-mac, give them yet another year, and hopefully we'll have them both healthy come playoffs.

Eh, misread. He won't be playing the rest of the playoffs. It will take quite a few weeks to recover.

I think a hairline fracture is something you can play on. You won't exactly be putting in 40 minutes though.

Yao had this injury before Game 3... they just recently found it, or at least that is normally how stress fractures work.

Give him 15-20 min off the bench.

I thought he could play. It's the management that shut him down. I say if we beat LA, let him play if he wants to.

I think this is a very good option.

If we are getting murdered in a matchup battle or struggling on offense... a touch of Yao is a hell of a lot better than no Yao.

Hairline fracture at ankle. What would be worse if he plays, broken ankle, which can happen from one accident.

At the very least he can give us an offensive substitution at the end of quarters. Hopefully he can take a few painkillers and gut out a quarter in the Finals if we get that far.
