    Should we pay for the transformation of the 1994 classic Rockets championship into an immersive experience tailored for the Las Vegas Sphere. Adapting the low quality film of yesteryear into 16K resolution for one of the world’s most advanced entertainment venues.

    The primary goal of the project would be for modern audiences to re-experience the championship in a revolutionary venue.

    You decide.

    It's been 30 years. It's time to move on.

    I was there, I lived it .... The nostalgia bores me.

    It's getting to the level of Al Bundy trying to relive his high school football days .... but the nightmare of being a shoe salesman never ends.

    It's time to make new memories.

    Agreed it would be like people who witnessed a Championship in 1963 telling us fans in 1993 how great that team was. "Oooooh back in my day we had Jim "The Slim" McIntyre and Frank Kennedy and Bill Simpson and Timothy Canton and they lead us to the greatest moment in our sports history!!! Can you feel it?? Can you feel the passion and excitement??!!"



    Nope. It's been 30 years man. The thrill is gone.

    I don't need the whole championship series upscaled, but I wouldn't mind seeing some clips of Hakeem's best plays (on both ends, regular season and playoffs) done up. Most of what's out there online is really bad quality, a lot worse even than what we experienced on live TV back in the day.

    I would like to watch it as I was a kid I just remember the big moments. I go back and watch Hakeem highlights all the time

    I was 6 years old and loved how dominant Tracy Murray was in those series.

    I'd love to watch an upscaled version. Not sure about Vegas Sphere.

    The difference is that Bundy peaked in HS and his life was down hill from there. He had no ambition for self improvement and was ok being average.

    We can remember the glory years while anticipating/demanding improvements in our own lives and from our beloved franchise.

    If the value of a new championship is ONLY to create a new memory and to move on and shame anyone who relives it with nostalgia, in my opinion what is the point?

    Things that are important to you are revisited such as birthdays, anniversaries and other milestones.

    I say recreate it and relive it and also have an eye to the future.

    After all, those two championships may be the only ones our Rockets achieve in our and or children’s lifetimes

    I recorded all the finals games on vhs and would watch it every morning in the summer.

    now I just would have to find them at my parents. I am sure they are missing haha.

    If serious.... Try somewhere close to 1080p / FHD. You probably won't see much of a difference given the original source.
