Should we tank near end of reg season to match up with SAS?

All in the title. Yes I realize it assumes that SA stays highly seeded and that we stay around 4th seed. Please delete if there is another thread about this.

western conf is so tight. you tank, you slip, and you can kiss playoff goodbye in April.

GSW or Sa. Those are only two chances getting past the 2nd round. Sac, OKC, and PHX own us.

What about the final reg season game if the numbers work out? Does 1 game still count as tanking?

No, that's stupid. A series against san antonio is far from guaranteed. This team is going for homecourt in the first round. They're in no position to lose games on purpose.

NO! They need to continue playing hard and improving... The goal is not to get past the 1st round... Its to win it all and to win it all they will have to beat the best teams in the NBA... Rockets have a lot of room to grow. There are a lot of improvements that can be made and if they can actually manage to overcome they have potential to be up there with the best of them.....

    No....

This really shouldn't need an explanation as to why.

The best possible scenario is hoping the injuries take their toll on okc and getting into a 2-3 matchup with portland, and then hoping san antonio comes out of their 1-4-5-8 bracket.

We beat GSW without Iguodala. If he is playing, I don't think we match up very well against them. He completely shut down Harden last year when he was in Denver.

That said...don't tank to try to get any matchup! The Western Conference is a beast. Play for the best seed you can get, and any team you play will be tough.

Hahaha. We have 96% of making the playoffs if we win this game, we lose all next 6 games. Remember that.

Didn't you learn from last year? The Spurs are not an easy playoffs match up.

I don't see why anyone is afraid of the Clippers or Trailblazers. We have a chance against anyone besides the Spurs and Thunder.

Typical! 1st season: losing streak..... went from 8th seed to 9th
2nd season: went form 6th to 8th in no time
    This season?

I feel like we've demonstrated that we can beat the Spurs. Even if it is a tough matchup, at least we have a chance against them, right?
