Didn't see any threads with this so...

We have the #24 pick and I've seen a lot of talk about Channing Frye, etc how he is big and he is about what we need. But since our pick is so low, why not take Randolph Morris from Kentucky? He's 6-10, 266 with "several solid post moves that include a very effective drop step, a nice spin, good jump hooks and unstoppable rebounding." He's really young (19) so it'll take a couple of years to develop him but he seems like a good find for the 24'th pick. Some sites out there have him being drafted at the 30th spot or lower so there's a good chance we'll have a shot at him. Comments?

have you seen Randlof Morris play? Seriously, he's 7 foot tall. He should have dominated in College, just dunk on everyone. HE IS SOFT! If you all believe that Yao has issues with being aggressive and what not, drafting Morris is not going to help.

There are some other threads on draft prospects in the College/Draft forum.

Morris seems more like a center. I'd rather have someone athletic enough to guard some of the new age PFs.

I would pick Simien and Diogu over Morris. I'd go w/ a guard or swingman before I choose Morris.
I know stats don't show everything, but...

    Randolph Morris- 8ppg 4rpg 52%FG 61%FT

    Wayne Simien- 20ppg 11rpg 55%FG 81%FT

    Diogu- 23ppg 10rpg 57%FG 80%FT

    Turiaf- 16ppg 10rpg 50%FT 68%FT 2 blocks

If Simien, Diogu, or even Turiaf are still on the boards (which most mock drafts say they will) then they would be better choices than Morris.

Morris is ridiculously foul prone. He'll be a decent backup 5 in the league at best, imo. Not what we want/need, and not going to be the best talent available.
