My apologies in advance for posting yet another Griffin thread in less than an hour, but after reading this article I became a little curious. http://espn.go.com/nba/draft2001/s/2001/0622/1217380.html I'm as excited as hell that we got a talent like Griffin, watching him run with our team will be a thing of beauty. This move will also show C-Webb and any other potential FA that this organization does what it takes to win. I applaud the Rockets for their masterful move tonight. However, I am suprised that Rudy T went after someone with EG's history. I'm sure the Rocks did all their background checks and all, but I'm nevertheless still curious about this guy's maturity level. Don't spank me for tring to be ZRB-like, er pessimistic and raining down on the parade! Just trying to look at this deal as rationally as I can without peeing in my pants with excitement! Its different when you think you are the best player on your team and everyone else sucked. He will have less pressure on the rockets and he will be humbled quite a bit when Francis, Mobley, and maybe Webber and Dream schooling him in practice. MoTay and Francis were supposed to have a bad attitude until they came here. ------------------
