Should we be afraid of Bowen Tuesday?

It looks like this guy is trying to take everyone out on their jumpshots by making shooters come down on his foot. I'm actually somewhat concerned for McGrady on this one. And also, remember Battier took Bowen's spot on Team USA. The NBA is currently investigating this subject, but the Rowdies have to think of something to taunt Bowen come Tuesday.

If anything even close like that happens, we should just send Motumbo out for a quick elbow to the face. That should stop that.

I'm really surprised Bowen hasn't gotten his butt kicked yet. That guy is dirty.

    To answer the question: No.

We should be afraid of TD, TP & Manu.

We are talking about defense here, not offense.

We are worried he is going to undercut McGrady, like he did to Ray Allen, Jamal Crawford, Vince Carter, and Steve Francis. The later two actually got injured and sprained their ankles.

Stu Jackson reviewed the play and said there will be no action against Bowen.

NBA didn't have anything to say about Bruce Bowen's undercut of Steve Francis on Monday, so Isiah Thomas did the talking last night as this week-long feud came to a head.

Late in the first quarter, Thomas was infuriated when Bowen challenged Jamal Crawford's shot and - by extending a foot toward where the shooter was about to come down - came dangerously close to doing the same thing to Crawford that he did to Francis, who suffered a sprained ankle in Monday's game and hasn't played since.

"Next time he does that, break his -- feet!" a furious Thomas yelled out to Crawford. Bowen barked back at Thomas and, as play stopped, Bowen approached Thomas and the two exchanged words. A technical was assessed to both, which got Spurs coach Gregg Popovich yelling at Thomas. "You don't need to be talking to my players!" Popovich shouted.

Im only 5'8 but I would love to play some defense on Bowen. If he's taking a three his ass is going to end up in the stands.

Although I DEFINITELY don't endorse this, I can't help smiling thinking who would be the one on our team taking out Bowen if he does do something dirty. I'm leaning towards V-Span. They don't call him Kill Bill for nothing. Maybe V played some rugby back in the day. He'd show Bowen how dirty Euro players can get.

I would say Sura if he was healthy though.

Crawford and Stevie Franchise are. Steve rolled it bad, Crawford narrowly missed it

If Bowen takes somebody out, especially one of our key players, the NBA will definitely do something.

And if that does happen, we need the Rowdies to STORM THE COURT! :D

But seriously, we need some rowdies at the game, and a "BOWEN PLAYS DIRTY!" chant. I think he'd cry. Honestly.

If McGrady sprains his ankle on Bowen's foot, I fear this season will be just like last year's season.

McGrady kicks out when he shoots jumpers so hopefully if Bowen tries to move a foot in, he'll get kicked in the throat.

as long as yao is healthy we will be a playoff team.

as far as someone taking out bowen if he tries anything... i'd go for kirk snyder. he seems like a guy willing to get into fights.

Watching the near-end of Bruce Bowen's career brings me great joy.

All the people who excuse the fact that he's a damned dirty player because he's "blue collar," "works hard," and "gets physical with guys" can stuff it. He intentionally injures opposing players. He's good at it. He makes it look accidental, mostly - but he's one of those guy who has had just too many borderline "accidents" for it to be coincidental.

    Enjoy aging, Bowen.
