I think wehn Pike comes back he should be the starter so we can spread te floor when Yao is posting up in the begining of the 1st and 3rd quarters. And then Have Mobley and Taylor be our scoring options for the begining of the 2nd and 4th quarters.

mobely is a better scorer, but he is not a spot up shooter. he creates off the dribble more than feeds off of other players...

I think it'll happen eventually if Yao doesn't wear down and we start going to him as often as JVG has said we will. Yao already looks like he's worn out though.

Yeah it sounds like a good idea. I love the idea of MoT and Cat coming off the bench against other teams second units but I would definitely like to see how Cat plays along as a starter first.

no way we start Pike instad of Mobley.

Mobley rocks, it's his starting position, expecially when he plays like he has in the last couple of games.

Why should Pike replace Cat as starter? I can't see any decent reasons. Cat plays very well.

Piatkowski is definitely a better spot up shooter. But Cat is definitely a better scorer and defender. There is no way that Pike is just going to get back to playing by starting, he needs to get back into the swing of things. It might not be a bad idea to eventually start him, but that remains to be seen. Cat is a better overall player, but I wonder if Piatkowski is a better fit with Yao and Stevie to start the game. Regardless, Cat will play at least 35 minutes per game.

You also have to think about who is going to play the best D. This would put Cat as the starter.

Cat is a great guard all he really needs is to improve on his decsion making. Which I think will continue to improve because of JVG and the play of JJ.

I'm very glad to have Pike because I see him hitting that 3 as an influence that will cause Cat to want to do the same.

Actually I am in favor of Mobley being the 6th man a la NVE last year for the Mavs so he'd have a green light to shoot when he's in the game and don't have to force his game. But I rather we have AG starting at SG. I feel that with Yao, Steve and JJ in the game, we need defense more than offense for the starters, and AG can hit the mid range jump shot to spread the floor.

I'd love to see Pike starting, with Mobley being backup PG and SG. Pike is a much better shooter and is good at passing into the post according to JVG.

However, I'd balance that out by starting MoT in place of Cato. Now we have 3 high % scorers in the starting line-up (Yao, Mo, Pike). Francis is also pretty damn good relative to his position.

    Yao/Cato
    MoT/Cato
    JJ/AG/Boki
    Pike/Mobley
    Francis/Mobley/Moochie

    I think that's a great rotation.

Mobley needs the ball in his hands. He needs to be his own man .He needs to be the 6th.man off the bench starting the second and fourth quarters. He needs to be the leader of the backup team instead of Moochie. Mobley realy looks a much better player this season and if he gets the green light as the 6th man he could be the best 6th.man in the NBA.

cat has been doing wonderfully so far, the only problem is that cat and steve are too similar as players which can be both a good and bad thing. If pike stills has his touch, though, I would really like to see him playing significant minutes and draining threes from kickouts from the paint.

Definitely Cat. If he comes off the bench as the 6th man and is "given the green light to shoot" as some of you have suggested, he'll end up making lots of bad decisions as a result of trying to do too much, and that's when he drives me crazy.

Cat should start period. I know Pike can knock down those 3's, but Cat has been doing the same. But who am I to say?
