I know that we lose the spark of the bench by starting Landry, but he may play the role of poor mans Amare and take some pressure off of Scola , since others teams are now paying attention on Scola as our only low post threat.

The answer to your comment, IMO, is that we should NOT start Landry. You said it yourself people are starting to focus more and more on Scola, and as this happens people will pay little to no attention to Landry. Now, I think that is a very underestimation of how NBA teams prepare, because regardless of WHO it is, people will prepare.

But to answer your question. I think that they should play together. With the minutes that they do share, it seems that they have a lot chemistry.

It depends on the matchup. If we need to guard a big center we need to have Deke out there. If we play against a team like GS, we can definitely have Scola and Landry together. Both of them need to get better on D.

Nope give Landry all of Scola's minutes he is on the bench. Play Landry only when necessary to secure victory.

Lol the Marvin Williams strategy, named so bc Roy Williams never played Marvin much in 2005 unless he absolutely had to, to try to prevent him from bailing to the NBA. This time it'll be the Rockets trying to keep Carl on the down-low so no one offers 4mill+ to him in free agency and forces us to match with our MLE.

I think that our shot blocking suffers a little when Mt. Mutumbo sits down. I think Mutumbo should still start because then he can at least put that doubt on the opponent's slashers in the beginning of the game. Once our defense is settled in and teams begin to toss up the outside jumpers, then we can play Landry and Scola on the floor together.

When we have Scola, Landry, Battier, Mac, and Rafer on the floor at the same time, our switch defense and steals go up, but our shot blocking goes down. I do love how the just shut down the other teams though!
