I am in an 18 team league. The trade that has been proposed to me: I trade: Brandon Marshall, Santonio Holmes I receive: Antonio Gates, Patrick Crayton My other two tight ends are Vernon Davis and Bo Scaife, so I could use some tight end help...but those are, obviously, my two solid receivers. My other receivers right now are Steve Breaston and Dennis Northcut. I'm inclined to turn down the proposal (EDIT: Now I'm thinking accept...man, I'm on the fence on this one), but am definitely concerned about Marshall being suspended one game or more, or just not being as productive because of his head-case issues, or because Denver's offense won't be as pass productive, or whatever. Thoughts?
I know, right. I'm still relatively happy with my team, though. My current squad, RB heavy: QB - Schaub, Shaun Hill RB - Maurice Jones Drew, Ronnie Brown, Earnest Graham, Jerome Harrison WR - Marshall, Holmes, Breston, Northcutt, Mark Bradley TE - Vernon Davis, Scaife Kicker - Gostkowski Defense - Tennessee I'm praying for a better season from Schaub - from TD/Int. perspective. Any thoughts on the trade? I just noticed the other guy has Devin Hester on his squad. I may counter with Hester, Gates for Holmes, Marshall.
You really don't have much to gain by trading Marshall. You're really weak at WR as it is so I don't think you should be in the position to have to give up Holmes.
Gates would be a pretty huge upgrade over VD. However, Patrick Crayton is dead weight, so overall I wouldn't do it.
