Hey guys. Im looking forward to the beginning of the NBA season so much. I am living in Bogota Colombia and I have Direct TV but their arrangement with the NBA League Pass sucks. They basically only show 2 games a night that they choose, rather than the team I want.

So I was thinking about doing the broadband thing. I had done it in the past and it was pretty good but I started thinking. Why should I shell out the money for that when I can practically watch every game online through atdhe.net or now realsportz.net for free. What would you guys do?

It's getting to the point in this forum someone will post a thread asking which shoe they should tie first.

"Hai guyz! i puts shooz on and i dunno witch wun to tie first! HLPZ!!!!"

And of course... they'll forget the poll and start another thread.

Allow me to ask this question then, is the blackout on broadband IP based or billing address based? I could get around the billing address by getting someone else to buy but not sure how easy it would be to get around the IP issue.

If your going to use your computer then just use atdhe.net, I usually get to watch any game I want with decent to good resolution via those websites.

I bought the LP Broadband mainly because I can watch games that I missed. An NBA DVR if you will... Plus the quality is superb, compared to the free streaming sights. If you don't care about quality, or if you don't care about missing games, then just go with adthe.net. LP Broadband is not perfect, but then again, what is?

Wait, does the LP broadband allow you to watch the games whenever? I thought you could only watch the games live? If this is the case I have to reconsider.

It is not a live-only service. They save games for 48 hours. That was 2 seasons ago, it might be more now with the new DVR service.

(The negative part is they show the score to the game on the title of the archive games  WTH? ) But you can get around that with some crafty screen cover-ups. Cover the score, start up the game and its good to go.

In the US, you get the LP broadband free when you buy the regular LP. Will they let you do that up there?

IP location. I'm able to watch the Rockets when travelling.

Shroopy2, starting last year, games are now saved for an entire season on LPBB. The 48 hour nonsense is gone.

Rox_fan_here, the DVR function is wonderful. I guess you should reconsider. If you miss LeBron scoring 29 points in one quarter against the Bucks or the (ugh) Mavs storming back in the last 5 minutes at home against a bottom-feeder, it's there for you.

My main gripe with LPBB now is I have U-Verse, which means I don't have NBA TV. Why are NBA TV games not on LPBB?

Yeah, it might still be 48 hours... That's what it was last season, I think.

LOL, yeah, I remember those nights when I have to get creative and cover up the scores... PITA...

It's worth the price, unless you really want to watch NBA games in crappy quality where you can't even tell who has the ball.

Check the email address you gave NBA.COM. They sent a message in September notifying you of an upcoming autorenew.
