OK, so mom called today and gave me her weekly rant (um, I mean concerned and constructive criticism). One of her main topic today is "stop eating chicken." Now, I love chicken and I have a whole freezer full of frozen chicken breasts. Has anyone here stopped eating chicken due to the avian flu? And no, I will not choke my chicken, so put your photoshop away.
ah, I dont think you can get the "flu" from dead/cooked chickens. If it had gone all the way thru being process and infront of you I'm for sure you can eat it without any problems. (Can you get the flu from a dead person?)
Also: 1. Feel free to fly, your flight is not going to be hijacked. 2. Buy gas whenever, taking one day off isn't going to affect the oil companies 3. Your burger isn't likely to give you Mad Cow 4. Delete all emails that allegedly curse you or if forwarded will get you a check for $1000 from Bill Gates
Congratulations to you and your mom for allowing yourselves to fall victim to yet another stupid scare that's been hyped up by the damned media. There are countless other diseases and circumstances that surround you that are much more dangerous than the bird flu. Do yourselves a favor and competely stop watching the news channels. ugh.
I surprised there hasn't been some stupid internet rumor going around saying that you can get Avian flu from eating turkey.
Don't like 30,000 people die from the regular flu in America each year? How many have died from bird flu? You chances are so tiny for actually getting this disease, its ridiculous. Not to mention that you don't get it from cooked meat.
