Should Adelman give TMac more shots from Rafer's shots?

Adelman's system focuses on ball movement until the open shooter is found and less on 1 on 1 plays. In Adelman's system, anybody could be taking the most number of shots in a game if they are left open. Like it or not, this type of offense ends up with Rafer taking his share of shots and we all know Rafer needs to shoot less. When you move the ball around and run out of time, and Rafer has the ball, Rafer is going to take the shot.

Now Adelman is in a bind. He has a dilemma:

    1) Keep focusing on his system and TMac may not get the number of shots TMac "claims" he needs to get into a rhythm.

    2) Or Adelman can run more 1 on 1 plays for TMac just to make TMac happy and get TMac in focus. He can instruct Rafer to help TMac get into 1 on 1 situations if possible and pass the ball to TMac when the opportunity arises, thereby decreasing Rafer's shots and giving them to TMac.

With TMac and Adelman's latest comments, it's obvious TMac doesn't like Adelman's system. The problem is, we cannot have a $20 million liability sitting on the bench that no other team wants.

The best would be for TMac to buy into Adelman's system and be content with less shots. But TMac can't buy into that and seems to be demanding more shots for himself.

I'd rather Adelman give way to a more selfish TMac where TMac tries than have TMac give up game after game. Sitting TMac on the bench is not an option as that is a $20 million player sitting on the bench, sulking.

    yes definitely.
the only shots rafer should be taking are spot up threes.
if mcgrady wants the ball. GIVE HIM THE BALL. hes the best fit for a leader on this team. we really need his confidence to get going.

Do not give him more shots if he can't even stay with the team. It's practically day-to-day with McGrady. Let him show he's committed to playing first, then give him his shots.

You cannot get in a rhythm if you there is no consistency in your decisions to play on game night.

When he can show effort in doing anything on the court, then he should be able to complain about the lack of shots.

Rick Adelman has many systems, and Tmac has the ball on every possession if he chooses to stand out front and pass it, that is not Adelman's fault.

    True.

He was demanding the ball at top of the key and then just passed it out to others when the double team came.

So why he still wants more shots instead of resting up for his knee and gettin' goin come the playoff time? That guy becomes of more stupidity lately.

Please the God sends him the guidance from above.
