Blackmon will be coming back soon, who will be the #1 target? Blackmon's 2012 stats are a little deceiving, as 27% of his receiving yards came from 1 game (we all know which game that was). I remember watching him in college, the dude was beast and I expect he'll have a good nfl career (IF JAX ever gets a decent QB). His last 4 games in 2012 averaged 77 yards and grabbed 2 TDs. Shorts just had a 93 rec yard game. Obviously early to tell how good he'll be this season. So, I guess the question is, if you had to pick one for your bench, who would it be? Both will benefit from the other being in the line up, but who will get the targets, especially in the red zone?
I could see that, Ziggy. I was talking more about standard. I think in the red zone, Blackmon gets more looks.
More looks (although Jax might not ever see the redzone) and more upside. Shorts is among the leaders in targets though.
