So what will the singularity bring? Benevolent robotic buddies or our new masters?

Didn't they get a White Guy to play an Indian Scientist?

I'm waiting for Rocket River to get mad!

Yeah, Fisher Stevens. He is on Lost now playing Minkowski, the communications guy on the freighter. He was also in Hackers and before Short Circuit he was in My Science Project which was a pretty cool movie.

"Bye bye, goofy woman. I enjoyed repeatedly throwing you to the ground."

"I am standing here beside myself."

"OH! Her pants are blazing for you, Newton Crosby!"

Fisher Stevens is great in that movie. Making him the main character in that pathetic sequel was not a good move though.

This poll is ridiculous however. The Terminator vs. Short Circuit?! Badass Ahnuld vs. Number Five?! James Cameron vs. John Badham?!

I enjoy Short Circuit. It's a cheesy, but entertaining 80's flick. But The Terminator is a genuine classic. One of the finest sci-fi films ever made.

About the only aspect of Short Circuit that beats out The Terminator is the soundtrack. Give me El Debarge's "Who's Johnny?" any day over "You've Got Me Burning In the Third Degree".

This is just unfair. Why are you comparing the single, funniest, loved by kids, cool to mock, beautifully-programmed robotic organism... with Short Circuit?

I'll put it to you this way: One of my daughters loves Short Circuit so much, and the other one loves Terminator 2 so much. Now, which one loves to watch and quote T2 most... the younger one (7) or the older one (9) ? WRONG. It's the younger one. Yeah, beats ME, too.

I just found out that it wasn't really an indian guy and it was Fisher Stevens like 2 years ago. My whole universe is shattered now.

Uh oh. I hope you never find out the Oscar-winning actor who played Ghandi was Ben Kingsley.

    Oops! Too late! ;)

Also, Al Pacino pretended to be Cuban in Scarface! And Arnold isn't even really a robot! Where do these "actors" get off!!

"Short Circuit" is godawful. I guess it suffers in my view for me never having seen it as a kid. Give me "Batteries Not Included" anyday!

    and

    terminator vs robocop

Batteries Not Included would be matched up with Cocoon, as they are both about aliens playing with the minds of old people.

One of them is one of the greatest movies by one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. The other stars Steve Guttenburg. Come on.

Actually...the other stars a robot who takes out an entire gang. And while Terminator does his thing, any gang that stands on the street singing...

    Lesoto kicks your butt
    Lesoto kicks your face
Lesoto kicks your but into outer spaaaccceee

is hardcore. Plus, Johnny-5 gets dipped into solid gold at the end of the movie!!
