It seems like no matter what time I choose to shop at Wal-Mart, there is always a limited number of lines which results in a long line at every line. Of course before I'm able to check out, I have to search the aisles for what I want since most of the "non-grocery" part of the store is unorganized. So you really think I believe that one of the largest retailers in the world can't open up more than 5 registers? and can't keep their store clean? Come on...Goodbye Wal-Mart, hello Target.
It's not just that. It's the damn people that shop at Walmart. They bring their whole family and stand in the middle of the ailses so that you can't see what's on the shelf or get around them. They will go in the express lane with 47 items. In the parking lot, they will see someone walking to their car and stop to wait on that person to get to their car, unlock their car, load their car with the things they bougt, get in their car, and then exit their space. Meanwhile 10 cars behind them have to wait for all this to happen. Most of the time the moron could have just gone down 3 or 4 spaces and parked. Then when the moron finally parks, they will walk down the middle of the parking row and slow up the cars trying to get by. For some insane reason when they get to the front of Walmart, they will cross traffic without even looking. I don't like the grocery part of Walmart either. Why the hell are other things that you find in a grocery store like.....hygiene items and pet food on the opposite end of where the groceries are. And if you buy groceries, all they have is those tiny conveyor belts to put your items on.
When you return an item at Target, they don't give cash back - only an in-store credit. They both suck,
and smells like popcorn I have NEVER SET FOOT in a walmart ever since 2004 NEVER BUY A VIDEO GAME FROM WALMART I believe i went to buy Fight Night 2004. That night i opened the game and my ps2 could not read the disc. Turns out that the cd was a blank CD-R with an extremely nice label on the disc. The label didnt look like someone printed it out off their home printer. It looked professionally done. You wouldnt be able tell. So I go back the next day. Return the game saying it didnt work in my ps2. They inspected the disc and accused me of trying to steal/cheat them. So I rolled the dice again. Bought another Fight Night from that same Walmart. Paid for it and opened it right in front of the guy who sold it to me. Same thing. Blank disc with a printed label....It wouldve been embarassing if it wasnt the same thing.... I got my money back and never went to walmart again. Target is better
I HATE Wal-Mart but its the cheapest place to buy gun ammo from. It sucks though...some times you go there and there is nobody in the sporting goods section and nobody has the keys to the case. Then you cant find any one to help you.
OK, I have a story involving a game too. I bought NBA Live 06 for my Xbox from Walmart. I brought it home and I got the disc read error. I thought it was the disk and not my console because the other games were working fine fine. I looked it up online to see if anyone else had problems and apparently it was just me. I took it back to Walmart to return it and they took it back without any questions. I came home and decided to play Halo 2. I opened up the box and realized the damn NBA Live was in there instead of the Halo 2. I started freaking out. I went back to Walmart and told them about the mix up. Lady told me she already shipped it out and ended up giving me a brand new Halo 2 for free. I never shop at Target. I think it's unclassy and the people who work there are absolute r****ds.
Yeah it's funny to me now too, but i was so pissed off at the time. The fact taht they didnt even listen to me pissed me off. They cant really prove that I did it, but at the same time they cant just take my word for it. They couldve handled it better though instead of saying straight up that "you're trying to screw us" The mistake I made was buying the game and waiting 8 or 9 hours before opening it....For now on when i spend $50 or $60 on a game, I'm opening that thing on the way outta the store. I gotta give props to whoever was stealing those games though. Great printing job on the disc and great re-packaging machine...
Break has a lot of Wal-Mart pranks...like getting on the intercom and singing etc. My favorite was a guy recorded himself cursing after 10 seconds of silence on a cassette tape. He went to the electronics section, put the tape in a radio, turned up the volume, hit play, and walked away.

It really depends on what wal-mart you go to. I have 2 near me that are clean and I can get in there, find what I want, and be out of there in 30 minutes or less. A couple of others that are not so far away are trashy as hell. Messy, always super crowded, and just an absolute pain. I don't like target for the most part. Just don't like their product selection nor their prices.
