Unfortunately, as much as Cuttino shoots, he doesnt make too many shots. During the 12 January games so far, Mobley has jacked up an impressive 215 shots (18 per game) but only made 83 (7 per game), or about 38 % shooting. Now 38% isnt horrible, but it isnt anywhere close to upper echelon (granted he's shooting 42% for the season, but even that is behind some of the more prolific scoring guards in the league...Bryant=47%, Carter= 45%,etc etc). Regardless, Mobley did have a couple of good games in January (most notably a 14-26 performance and a 11-20 game). Taking those two out leaves 10 January games in which he shot a paltry 34%, which is very bad.
Francis, on the other hand, has taken about 30 less shots and made the same number of baskets in January, to shoot 44%. Add to all of this the fact that Shandon and Mo are both playing at high clips right now. Heck, even as bad as Walt Williams has been shooting lately, he has even put it up at a higher clip in January then Mobley has, making 27 shots out of 67 attempts, = 40%.

In the end, it doesnt make sense in any way shape or form, it is illogical and detrimental to our team, in both the short and long run, for Mobley to be jacking up so many shots.

I know there are people out there who back Mobley. Im not saying Mobley is the problem. Maybe its him, maybe its Rudy, but I think there is definitely a problem and it needs to be fixed for this team to ever get anywhere.

Absolutely there is a problem. If his jumper is not falling on a particular day, he should dish the ball off and drive to the hole. It is up to Rudy to discuss this with him.
