Does anyone know who in Houston has the largest selection of Timberland shoes? I need some new shoes and Timberland has the style I want, but the places I went to only had limited selections... Macy's, Overland Trading Co., The Walking Store (places in the Galleria)

    haha... maybe.

no, i'm not buying any boots or anything with a huge heel. I like their 'sport utility shoes' kinda like a hybrid, tennis shoe meets hiking boot thing...

This is wierd, I almost started a shoe thread a couple of days ago.

Needed some new tennies and my Footlocker went out of business, so I went on down to the Sketchers outlet at Hillcroft and Westheimer. They had every style of shoe imagineable for man, woman or child, like 50 or 60 styles of tennis shoes. But here's the deal; the Sketchers price is about 50% of what you would expect to pay for a comparble shoe and from I can tell the quality is very good. I guess they are sewed by Vietnamese children who make a $1 a week or something but they will certainly help the American Family's budget.

I don't know how people buy shoes online. Depending on the shoe I can wear anything from a 7.5 to a 9 - I usually wear an 8, but Nike's run small (7.5) and Asics run a bit larger (9)... besides, I have to try them on, do the little walk, etc... if they don't fit, it blows to have to mail them back and try again.

go to store close by and try on the timberlands even if it is a limited range... then you can get the size right and then order online

it works everytime... plus you can mess with the store clerk,.... with soem weird excuse for why you don't want to buy the shoes even though they are a perfect fit
