I think Detroit will have a long hard look at it.

    Do the rockets do it?

If we could get two good years outta them, that would be an interesting trade. But Chauncey is breaking down. Sheeds getting old too, anf who knows if his team cancer will awaken.

I don't know how detroit would play Rip, Prince and Mac.

We don't neet Sheed, but I think we can get Billups since people are saying Dumars will look to re-build aroud his new core (Maxiell, Amir Johnson, Stuckey) while keeping Rip and Tayshaun.

IMO, Dumars may be looking for something like Hayes, Bobby J, Head, Brooks and our first rounder for Billups and a throw in.

I would do it in one sec. Then again, I could be way off. We may HAVE to take Sheed back in exchange.

this could possibly be a good trade for both sides, but i think they want to keep billups. they might offer up hamilton instead b/c you want to keep prince and billups.

in fact, it works great for detroit moreso than us b/c sheed is just one of the dumbest players i have ever seen. if he was the "portland" sheed, i'd do this trade immediately.

detroit would salivate at this. they get that superstar scorer, keeping their PG and best defender. they can replace sheed w/ maxiell who's waiting to get big minutes.

detroit has to make a move for a big star. they've lost the last 3 years in the ECF to a team with a "great" perimeter scorer in wade, lebron, and now pierce.

and they all lose b/c of their lack of offense, not defense.

if tmac is traded to that team, he won't be the franchise player "ala one-man team" b/c that team will have some scoring options. it's the same thing we're trying to build here by developing scola and landry. slowly, we're going to get away from that "2-man" team crap.

    No,

We need to get younger and more athletic.

I would rather tweak than reload.

dumar is too smart to trade for the heartless "no-D" TMac.

come to think of it, TMac doesn't fit the profile of a Piston; he plays "no-D"

I love these trade threads. Why not Kobe, Bynum, Gasol, Fisher and Odom for Loren Woods. Do the Rockets do it?

    Neither team would do this.

They have Prince and Hamilton. Plus they got Maxiel as a young up coming stud. The last spot they need to fill is the athletic swing guard spot.

We are left with no threat of any perimeter penetration.

Those Detroit Players are declining. The Pistons would benefit more from that trade than would the Rockets.

2 years ago maybe. Today both Billups and Sheed are getting up in age and the series proved to me both of them are starting a decline. I would keep T-Mac and find a way to add a real deal PG and a legit third scorer. Easier said than done, but that's why Morey gets paid the big bucks.

I feel you 100%! Tmac is way too valuable.

Plus, I think Rasheed is overrated as hell. All he does is shoot 3's, when he could easily impose himself on the offensive end at will.
