No it's just a rumor. Should've clarified that in the title.

Marion sucks and disappears in the playoffs. Here's to hoping the Cavs can do better with Wally's contract.

What's there to lose? Their only significant trade bait to improve the team before 2010.

Here's my question : what is Marion going to bring to the table for Cleveland other than another athletic wing? I mean, I guess he could help guard Ray Allen when they play Boston, but what would his role be in the offense? I just don't see how this helps them win THIS YEAR. Wally is a better shooter, and has a more defined role on the team. Varejao is Sideshow Bob disguised as a basketball player, so he means nothing in this deal.

    QFT.

This is basically there chance at keeping Lebron, if there is a chance. They can't screw this up.

Marion and Lebron dude, they can play 2-4 and guard the opposing 2-4. Marion doesn't have to be depended on for scoring. Their defense becomes that much better. Its a great deal IMO. Anytime Marion is your 4th option you are in excellent shape.

Unless they can land a Redd caliber shooter I don't see them getting anything better than Marion.

Marion has yet to do anything w/out Nash by his side.

Wade hasnt helped him elevate his game - I'm not too sure LeBron will
    either.

He just looks uninterested right now.

Marion has been horrible this year, this trade is a wash for the Cavs and they should be able to actually improve their team with Wally's expiring. Cavs would be smart to look for better options.

Nothing in it for Miami. Varejao has a player option and Wally's expiring contract is of no use to them, since Marion has an expiring contract himself.
It could help the Cavs out without a doubt even though Marion is no longer the force that he used to be.

I don't see how this helps Miami, as previously said, because of the expiring contracts. They don't really have much to benefit from this.

As for Cleveland, we basically have 3 bigs, Big Z, Big Ben, and Sideshow Bob. Losing Verajao is not a minor detail. Especially now, where he's playing center because Z is out w/ an injury. Marion could play the 4, but if we lose AV we really need someone who can fill a similar spot - someone who can play the 4/5, not 3/4.

Not to mention the great team chemistry going on, I don't know if Marion can assimilate so well...he hasn't done too hot as Wade's wingman either.

There has been plenty of speculation for the past few weeks among Cavs fans that Wally and AV could be packaged for a trade, so I'm not sure what's really going on.

Miami's suffering from a weak economy. Ticket sales are way down. They're cutting costs and they'll let Wade walk, if they don't trade him before.

If this thing holds up, the Cavs might have the best team in the East.

I know Marion has been playing poorly, but he doesn't fit with Miami, he suited perfectly for Cleveland. He'll be a great six man/sometimes starting forward for them.

He can score, rebound, and defend. I imagine he'll get big minutes late in the season and playoffs.

I do not understand why Marion does not get more respect here....He has a killer shot and can disrupt an opponent with his defense...he has played effectively against the Rockets previously.....

Has his game deteriorated that much..?

If the Cavs traded Varejao, who gonna pick up the post offense if Big Z went down. Ben Wallace? Personally, is a bad trade for the Cavs.

    Hell Noooooo.

This is worse than the wall street 5b scheme.

I demand a criminal investigation about the GMs of both sides.
