I watch the LAC vs Bucks game. It's the first start for this 19 years old kid. Guess what? He dished out 11 assists in just 25 minutes of playing time. When the ball is in his hand, it's a joy to watch. He created a lot of open layups and dunks for his teammates with his incredible court vision. He will be something special a couple years down the road.
Even when he has lousy statistical games, I love watching that guy play. I just hope that he can keep his body (Penny Hardaway) and brain (Jamal Crawford) together.
I think he meant not to let his body and brain degenerate as it happened for the above-mentioned players (Penny and Crawford respectively). You are right. I wouldnt wish Crawford's brain on anyone.
Personally, I have always felt that Shaun arguably will be the most talented in 2004 NBA draft. I just love that kid despite only seeing very little of him. And his size.....6-7 PG and possibly still growing Here is hoping he can stay injury free through the major part of his career.
Would anyone be tempted by: Brand + Livingston + Wilcox + #1 pick (#1, not just first round) for Yao? I'm thinking no, but it is somewhat tempting.
Elton Brand alone is comparable to Yao (Statistically)...and there are other great players to be had at the #1 pick. Put Tracy, the Rockets' management, and another #1 pick on the Clippers and you have a championship caliber team right now.
I know this is the NBA forum..... ....but I'm a big Duke fan, and all I keep saying to myself when I hear how good this kid is doing is just.......crap! I cheer for him because he is what a PG should be. I just wish he could have been in a Blue Devil Uni first. I mean really, Duke's biggest problem was #1, no solid PG play, and #2, no depth. Oh well, I just dream about what could have been.....and cheer for the kid, and wish him the best of luck.
he had 10 assists last night versus the hawks and then follows it up with 17pts, 8 boards, 9 assists, 6 steals and only 1 TO against the bobcats tonight. this kid has goldmine written all over him he just needs to bulk up over the summer and get more pt in. injuries to his knee took him out for most of the season and then a minor shoulder injury took him out a few more games. he is getting surgery done on the shoulder to prevent and future mishaps this summer hopefully that wont hurt him too bad when it comes to the weight training. and yeah i LOVE watching this kid play and as much as the media hypes lebron up and all IMO livingston is going to be the guard of the future not lebron. livingston is the second coming of magic johnson hopefully the clips can lock this kid up when his contract is up when he is 22 cuz he is the real deal. if maggette/brand/kaman/wilcox/livingston/jaric/kittles/simmons are all healthy next season (none of them have been 100% at the same time this year, still arent) the clippers will be contending for the 7/8th spots i honestly believe they may have been able to this year but the injury bug has hit them since day 1 and has hit every single player on that team which has lead to no real chemistry on the court since lineups have been juggled so much. but duneleavy is a great coach with the talent he has been given if they can stay healthy he will have them ready
you know, i honestly did not think livingston was gonna be that good. from personal experience, i had a friend beat him one on one. we all couldn't belive it when he was taken fifth. i guess i was wrong. but we'll see.
They're the Paper Clips. Every year, they're promising, but not enough, so you get hyped up the next year. The Next Year: They're the Paper Clips. Every year, they're promising, but not enough, so you get hyped up the next year. The fact that their games with Conference powers are so close until the 3rd quarter makes me think it's a scam by Sterling to bring out the most teasing bball franchise.
the thing is they have had talented squad but bad coaches without real chemistry. when they got dunleavy as the coach they played very competitive but were hit with injuries last season. they've consistently have had a starter missing throughout the season, usually 2 starters missing. this year has been especially bad. this isnt like their 11,12th men being out its their 1-8 guys being hurt all the time. but seriously if they can stay healthy at least brand, maggette, livingston, kaman for 65+ games together they will be fighting for the last 2 spots and they do have the cap space to sign a good fa (Whether sterling will is another story)
probably wasn't trying but theres more to basketball than scoring Livingston has tremendous courtvision and can rebound the ball well he's a 6'8 PG great potential
I'll admit that they locked up their core, but they were overdue 2 years ago. Of course, they imploded because players were jockeying for FA so they were the same ol Clips. They'll probably lose Simmons next year, and I don't think Sterling will pay more for than the mandated minimum and swipe some key overaged bargains. With them being healthy and even with less role players, they'll probably match this year's record or even exceed it, but no way will they make the playoffs. After all, it's the annual LA Clipper drama- They get your hopes up, but they sizzle out when it matters.
Anyone who isn't at home on a Saturday night and isn't watching the Clippers, I feel for you: Livingston is going off in 2OT against the Spurs. Taking over two different overtimes, just shook Bruce Bowen for a couple of scores.
HELL OF A REJECTION BY HORRY! Livingston had an awesome pass into Moore (I think). Then Horry came and stuffed him to end the game. That was a hell of a game!
