I'm picking first in the league that I'm in and I'm torn between Alexander and Johnson. I had Alexander slightly ahead and now, I don't know. Who would you pick?

    Alexander:

    PROS:

    -consistent production
-his "good" season is a badass season for most
    -never missed a game

    CONS:

    -age
    -wear and tear
-is the OL as strong as it was last year?

    Johnson:

    PROS:

-MONSTER 2nd half (equating to monster SEASON?)
-consistent producer in the 2nd half when Holmes went down

    CONS:

-can't really use his 2nd half to extrapolate over the season (he'd have record shattering numbers)
-not as much of a known quantity as Alexander

    Thoughts?

Look at their lines. LJ is going to have a MONSTA season. Don't be surprised if it is a record breaker 2000 yarder.

I don't think you could go wrong with either of these guys. Alexander is the safer pick IMO in that he is on the much much better team.

LJ is the #1 pick according the ESPN but that is a lot to base on a 1/2 season. He's obviously the #1 pick if he can give that type of production for a full season, but the Chiefs are a pretty bad team. Not sure if wins count for anything.

I took Johnson, based ONLY on the madden curse.

    I'm serious.

Sorry, the Chiefs are going to be the surprise of the league with hard nosed Herman at the helm. They've kept everybody important and added Ty Law to the defensive backfield. Their defense is once again going to be much improved. They have one of the top 3 offensive lines in football, blocking for LJ. They are going to chew up ~200 yds/game on the ground and bring the blitzes as the opponents struggle to put the pressure back on them. 11 or 12 wins for the Chiefs for sure.

Alexander was definitely the best choice.

LJ loses Roaf and has one of the hardest strength of schedules against rushing defenses, while Shaun has THE easiest.

Alexander lost Hutchison, LJ lost Roaf. LT is going to see more carries and more catches with a young QB. I think LT might be as good a bet as the other 2. I certainly think he's a better back than either Alexander or LJ.
