I saw a blurb on some web page that Memphis was looking to drop some big salaries and Rahim might be available. Any of you capologist got a guess on what it would take to get him. Same question on Raef Lafrentz. I see his name mentioned as a possible on this board a lot but I don't know why or how the Nuggies would move him. ------------------ Losers always whine about playing their best, winners go home and **** the prom queen" -Sean Connery, "The Rock"
Rahim takes about ten million. Raef about four. IF memory serves, Raef has one more year on his contract with Denver, no more than two. Raef is worth it. Rahim, not so sure. ------------------ Some days you eat the bear. Some days the bear eats you.
I would love to get Raef on this team. He would be a great fit for the Rockets, escpecially with the rule changes, which will really compliment his outside game. Gene Peterson- To answer your question, LaFrentz is on the trading block because the Nuggets head coach(Issel?) clash heads. ------------------
I would love to get Raef. He's got a sweet three point shot, gets a decent number of blocks, and rebounds at an acceptable level. He's better than any center in draft and is ready to play. He helps us a bunch right now. He's been on my wish list for a couple of years. And, of course, most importantly, HE'S NOT CATO. ------------------ Some days you eat the bear. Perimeter shooting centers should actually become less important with the rule changes as they can no longer pull the opposing center out of the post. ------------------ What's a Nubian?
Granted, Hydra, but if he can drain the three, it still stretches the defense and presents scoring opportunites. You'd rather have your center banging inside with Shaq? ------------------ Some days you eat the bear. Some days the bear eats you. How many centers you know that can drain the 3 Pine? I'd say that's a bit of a stretch, but big men like Collier can be effective when placed along the baseline in the weakspot of the zone to hit jumpers off penetration. ------------------
I know that Raef can, and that's who I was talking about TPL. ------------------ Some days you eat the bear. Some days the bear eats you. [This message has been edited by PinetreeFM60 (edited June 21, 2001).] [This message has been edited by PinetreeFM60 (edited June 21, 2001).]
Raef is the player I am talking about, TPL. He's a quality center who shoots the trey well (.367 this past year). HE can shoot the outside shot, and if folks want to leave him open, that is just great. It's not really that hard to figure out, unless you just want to quibble, which you apparently do. ------------------ Some days you eat the bear. Some days the bear eats you.
