There's so many positive things to think about peepz. 1. TJ is booming, I don't think he's far from Bosh, and he's younger, and cheaper, and hungrier. 2. We just upgraded our back up PG, NJ > LIN. 3. We will get CParsons back. 4. We will get a better bench for sure.
Dwight Howard looked like a top 5 player in The league against Portland lets hope he and james can put it together simultaneously.
We will still win the matchup at the 5 and 2 most every game and they are the most important positions.
Cap space is good as long as they use it before tomorrow to sign or trade for someone and we also get to hold onto most of our young talent we would have had to trade for nothing to sign Bosh. Hopefullly Morey can split the space into 2-3 players. If nothing happens, then we are screwed.
Nick Johnson, possible euros coming over... Dmo and tjones will be improved... Still don't see how were going to get the ball out of hardens hands though... Another ball handler would be good... Would like Lance Stephenson to be signed... He and harden could play together for stretches.
2nd year of Howard, Harden and possibly Parsons together. Chemistry was solid in the 2nd half of the season. I expect Harden/ Parsons/ Jones to play better defense especially if the Rockets get someone like Mike Brown on the staff.
What if Lebron had stayed in Miami? We never had a realistic chance at getting him. Lin was out the door anyway. Nothing has changed except there is a time crunch since Parsons signed do soon.
Match Parsons, get a veteran PG and someone who can shoot/provide instant offense off the bench and we're set. Losing Bosh isn't a deal breaker.
This may be a bit too optimistic. Last year was a wake up call for Harden. If what he says about wanting to improve his defense is true, we could improve dramatically.
either we have 16 million in cap space to spend before we match parsons, or we match parsons and have the MLE, BAE, and TPE to use to improve the roster. we are fine.
This is true, and probably the best option all along. The Finals this year proved, IMO, that you build around a core with quality role players, and it works much better.
I feel if the Rox get rid of McHale they have a better chance @ the Kevin Love Sweepstakes over the Cavs. I love Love more than any other free agent and hopefully some how Celtics amnesty Rondo and he signs a vet min wit the Rox.
Bosh is old at 31. Did we really want Melo on the same team as Harden? We get to keep guys we love , TJones, Dmo etc... We want guys that WANT to be here. Our starting 5 was fine last year. All we need is a quality bench so we dont play the starters so much. I have to say this is the most time I have ever spent on CFs reading posts lol.
No Lin, our smartest dumb guy is finally off the team. I can live without the meltdowns in crunch time of the playoffs.
I agree, and Lin frustrated me too at times, but when Harden disappeared against Portland, we needed someone to step up on offense. Howard can only do so much. I'm glad it's not Lin, and hoping it's Nick Young (or Parsons, but we seriously need someone who can step up the scoring.
