Interesting to see Bryant against the Knicks today, without Shaq. I read a quote from Jerry Stackhouse where Stack basically said "without Shaq, he'd just be another high scorer on a team that doesn't win much"

12-27 shooting...most of his points in garbage time...the Lakers never close in the game...enough said.

Without Shaq, no way could Bryant take that team to the play offs...let alone the championship.

Put Marbury, Stackhouse, Carter etc in Bryants place and the Lakers wouldn't miss a beat. Similarly, put Bryant on Detroit on New Jersey and they'd be no better either. He is a good player...but he'd just be 'another' good player were it not for Shaq.

I hope Kobe is traded to the Wizards. We would get to enjoy performances like this from Kobe every single game!

How about Odom for Kobe. I'd love to see him stuck in Clipper land.

Watching the Laker offense run through Kobe is like watching a cat hock up a hairball. There is no movement by the Lakers other four players, probably because Kobe rarely looks to pass.

Kobe doesn't realize what a great thing he has in Shaq.

I think it is funny to hear that coming from Stackhouse....I mean, what the heck is he on the Pistons? Just another high scorer on a team that doesn't win much!

I think that's why Stcakhouse said it....because he realises how lucky Bryant is. I think he was asked whether he or Kobe would win the scoring title and he was basically saying that he'd give it all up to have a guy like Shaq with him on the court. He realises he is just a guy scoring points on a team going nowhere, and he'd rather a shot at the ring etc...

Here's a thought, imagine Stack and Shaq together something tells me they'd be pretty succesful.

Actually Stackhouse said it because he knows what it takes to submit to another player as first option - he deferred to Grant Hill when they were together, I'm guessing that he'd do a better job than Kobe of deferring to Shaq.

That was just one game, why would you base your opiinion on one game.

IMHO, If Kobe was placed in Stack's position and vice versa, the lakers would in about the same position(a little less), and The pistons would be a little better(4-5 games better)
